Just bought the 500 and am downloading the waypoints. The waypoints are downloading as .loc files. Need to convert those over to .gpx to get the terrain, hint etc. I would have thought Magellan software could do this for me. I am guessing not. How do I convert these files to gpx and still use the Magellan Geocache Manager? Not real good at this kind of thing and its pretty frustrating. Seems like it should pretty simple. If someone could walk me by step by step or provide a link. Called Magellan and the tech was not helpful at all. Had no idea what I was talking about..Thanks

ok just to be clear, is it that I need to be a premium member and then download using the gpx format or I can get what I want just using the gpx format and not getting the premium membership....Currently I am using the software that came with the 500.

I just purchased a Magellan 500. I am downlowding the information for caches onto my unit using the supplied software. However the information regarding: placed, last found, difficulty, terrain and hints are not transferring. The information is definitely there in the post. Do I have to be a premium member for this information to carry over or I am just missing something. Would be nice to have this information on the unit. Thanks
