Ah...I never think of what the bad guys could do. That's going to get me in trouble one day.

Explain this to me as I'm unsure what the concern is... I am a newbie and I recently made the mistake listed above. I understand that I'm not supposed to write the TB number on logs...but I cont really understand why. Could you explain that to me please. PS....was it me and a canadian geocoin?

Hello: New to Geocaching and new to the forums. I found one of these coins and didnt get a chance to drop it into another cache....though it was my intention. (Just didnt find anymore). What am I supposed to do with it? I cant figure out where to log it in or read a log about it. I dont know if I'm supposed to keep it or not. Are these things collectors items as I read above that people buy them. What do I do???

My first day out today and we took toy cars and play money. Left bags of marbles (like a treasure for the kids). I think the guy/gal who said spider rings was funny because I have two in my pocket right now that we DIDNT leave. I also had a $10 Home Depot Gift Card in my pocket in case I found/took anything half decent. My son also had some cool action figures to leave on later caches that we never found. But I did find golf balls in two that we did find today. Not a fan of those! Especially used dirty ones!

Hello All: I'm Nick, from Mount Laurel, NJ My 7-year old son, his friend and myself went on out FIRST geocaching trip today. We found 2 out of 4 that we visited. Well, actually, THEY found them...not me. I was close on the third, I believe, but am not 100% sure it was still there. Very cool concept and lots of fun to do. I promised my son we'd do it often...wish I would have discovered this in the spring instead of right before winter! Let's hope it's a warm one! (Maybe someone should STICKY this topic! )
