Dearest of Moderators... Can we please put this topic to bed? It has now gotten way out of hand, not to mention, way off the topic! Thank you! -
And the smallest I have found was a Magnetic Nano along a black fence. It took me nine tries to get it!

Definition of a Geocache: A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name.

Part of your question And then this post... From the very start you mentioned something about the issue about not knowing how to put out a cache. I've read every single note and / or log on my own caches, and those that I wish to find. Not only do I get to learn what is or isn't right, I even sometimes get a good chuckle. You know what I have learned from this post??? You had a chip on your shoulder as soon as you walked in here, and nobody is helping you get rid of it. You are not getting the vindication you thought you deserved, and you have been defensive in all your replies to the folks who are trying to help. I am not a "seasoned" geocacher, but I have seen my fair share of caches, and one of my caches has been out for less than a year and rates 2nd in favorite points in our area. So, some people learn faster, others not so much. Take the criticism, both good and bad and learn from it. We are all here to help, not hinder. Happy Disney Caching! -
A beautiful surprise from the Mystery Gifter

So, I was off to drive the little lady to work today, and she casually looks into the mailbox and smiles. I have been receiving quite a few packages the last couple of weeks, and it appeared as another had arrived. She climbed into the car and I vaguely noticed the "HH" on the top left corner. "OMG. Is that what I think it is?" I said to her. I looked at the envelope as she handed it to me. My heart skipped a beat as I tore into the plastic bubble wrapped envelope. Inside was this beautiful silver envelope. It is! I was overjoyed and couldn't quite explain to my wife why I was so excited. I took a deep breath and explained the meaning behind my joy of the coin and the great charity of our Mystery Gifter! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

What was your first geocaching log?
TheLegoFool&Missus replied to gpsblake's topic in General geocaching topics
Back in 2006, when I was part of Team Muppet CoCPLC2: On the Top, GCPDAJ First find for Team Muppet! Pretty ingenious location, loved the find. There were quite a few muggles around, but they paid their parking lot tickets and walked off. Another muggle-ish male was walking back and forth around the location carrying a black bag. He may have been a fellow Geocacher. Once we located the cache after about 15 minutes of muddlign around waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. Gonzo (aka Geoffrey) was the one to find the cache. Quick dash to the van to sign the log, and a couple of quick pictures. Returned the cache to its place, and took the picture attached. Cheers! For those of you who know us, we are newlyweds. We got married in July 2012, after knowing each other for close to 11 years. We lost touch, but with the miracle of FB, we reconnected in 2009, and have been happy ever since. I usually tell anyone who asks what we are doing for Valentine's Day,... We don't need Valentine's Day to express our love, as we do that every single day of the year. So, having said this, here is my contribution... Our Wedding Song, and the truth behind our love

Well I was just going through my sig item collection just last week, and then I saw your icon and said... Hey! I know who that is! Nice creations... mine are so, so, but alas, my collection is quite small compared to what I used to have (100000+) pieces that I had to sell. Here they are... DJMaximus -
