I just checked amazon.com and here's what they have: Etrex Legend: $125.41 Venture CX: $187.14 I agree with others that you will probably "grow out of" the Legend fairly quickly. I have a friend with the Venture CX and it's a solid unit -- you could definitely do worse for under $190. -Jeff

Amen to that. Holy crap -- cache if you want to and don't if you don't. You don't see me over at the skydiving forums complaining about how I don't like to skydive. There's room for everyone in this activity, but nobody's heart is going to be broken if you don't like it. BTW, yes I did try skydiving once and quietly decided it wasn't my cup of tea -- so now I just don't do it at all. No big deal............... Hope you find what you're looking for. -Jeff

I own: Garmin Etrex Legend (very good unit for the money) Garmin GPSMap 60CSx (en route via Fed Ex -- can't wait!) We will be keeping the Legend for a backup. I have no complaints with it - just want the color screen and a few more bells and whistles. -Jeff
