  1. Puzzle or Multi caches are always tricky abroad, we got stuck on one in Challons en Champagne. It put us off a bit so now only do singlr caches.
  2. Now I'm not a very technical person so up to now we have done our 250+ caches by using a 'yellow brick' as the basic etrex seems to be called, and have copied and pasted onto 'Word' parts of each cache page, and printed out a page for each cache showing all the details. This is becoming more difficult as certain pages do not allow you to copy parts of the info, and you cannot copy the maps on each page either. I have tried printing from each cache page using the 'Print-no logs' option, but even this does not give all the info needed. Now we are thinking of trying paperless caching but being not very au fait with the available gadgets, and not very good at complicated computer stuff we were wondering if there were some mobile phones that may do the download business more easily? Or is it best to use a Garmin?
  3. I keep on trying but still it wont work. Could it be because there are too many people trying to access the information? Or is it something to do with the new look site pages? Sorry about the duplicate DeCeanGe.Pressed wrong thing.
  4. No, the list does not come up on the right as usual with the symbols for multi caches etc. and the names.
  5. I am having a little problem trying to find caches on the Google map facility. The map for the area I want to search comes up fine, but the caches do not load. The little circle emblem goes round saying that they are loading, but they dont. Is there something going wrong, or am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions welcome.

  7. Our flat coat retriever Chester is getting on a bit and at 14 is not able to jump up and over like he once could. Mr.Meerkat often has to lift him over stiles in Yorkshire, especially those ones that have two big stones that you have to squeeze through. His front is usually muddy with pawprints! It would be a real help to know if there is a dog unfriendly stile along the route to a cache.
  8. You know you are addicted when... all your friends and relatives routinely ask..'how is the geocaching going?' and you raid the kids toy cupboard for swaps.
  9. Congratulationsto Magpie15on their 50th cache find. From Sneaky Meerkats
  10. Please may we Meerkats do one for Lincolnshire?
  11. We tried to post a photo with a cache log and the server was busy and we could not add it. Is this quite usual then?
