  1. Well, this isn't particularly funny, but it was sure fun messing around with it. This has just me and my hunny, Logbear, sometimes known as Mr. FluteFace, poor thing! FluteFace & Logbear
  2. That is truly a work of art. I am most impressed!
  3. When I saw this topic, two coiners came to mind. I hope I've got the time before I go to work to nominate both. So, in no particular order, here is the first: I nominate LoriDarlin'. She is (literally) one of the most giving people I know in the geocoin community, and in more than just a 'geocoin' way. (Thanks, Lori! )
  4. I've been watching tweets about this. Thanks for the extra info. It looks intriguing. I can't wait to be using it.
  5. Double Post . . . there are days that I just hate computers!
  6. Sunshine On My Shoulders - John Denver
  7. Nice coins. My preference is: Antique Silver Antique Copper Antique Gold
  8. Could we convince you to come a bit further north than Issaquah . . . say Everett? Of course, I tend to be partial to Marysville. ;-)
  9. My 'available' coins are trade only. I've made it a point to put that I only trade at the top of my traders list, but it doesn't seem to work very well. About half of those that offer to buy manage to work out a trade anyway.
  10. Aw, Flutey. I always thought your duties were largely ceremonial.
  11. As you can see, you are in good company . . . I'm sure she'd block me as well. I'm sure I'm viewed as either the devil incarnate or one of his henchmen.
  12. All agents and their bosses need vacations.
  13. Please make sure you have this straight in your own mind before you start. E-mail Groundspeak for conformation of what we say. Or maybe a Moderator will pipe in here. I would really hate for you to go to a lot of effort to make a non-trackable item, expecting to sell it here, and then find out that you can't. BTW, it sounds like you might have some good ideas for a creative signature item that other cachers might enjoy finding in caches.
  14. What matters here is what Groundspeak says, since this is their forum. It makes no difference what any other place says about various meanings. So, what was already said goes: "Non-trackables can only be posted for trade for other geocoins, signature items, etc. Not for money." That's pretty much it . . . the forum owner decides the rules.
  15. I'm delighted to be able to say that the CITO that I've been hoping for is finally coming to fruition! The event has not yet been submited, but I expect it will be by Friday. So you can mark your calendars, the details are: Date: September 20, 2008; 10:00a Location: Blue Stilly Park, near Arlington; see I Love the Stilly #7 - Big Rock for an approximate location. Other Details: I hope to make this a potluck; prizes will be raffled and/or awarded, but you must be present to win! Kids are welcome. (Yes, I know it is on the same day as the Victoria Cache Machine.) Hope to see you there!
  16. Sunset near a lookout cache in Eastern Washington. That's Daisy on the left and my husband Logbear on the right. Absolutely one of my favorites.
  17. I'm sorry to say that GCXBR6 -- Welcome Home Mike! by Dragonfly has been disallowed as a cache that can be used for this challenge. It appears that terrain level changes are regularly made depending on water level at the cache site.
  18. Hey . . . we got it together . . . I'll be at the picnic with knitting needles and yarn and maybe a spindle or two. Logbear will go up Pilchuck with the group at 8a and meet us later at the picnic. TJ will go with him.
