    GEO JELLY

I received the same type of e-mail. " HOW MUCH WOULD YOU SELL ALL YOUR GEOJELLY COINS FOR" Mike responded to this one. I don't recall ever selling one of our Geojellies. We made tham to trade or gift away. The response I got back was "well could i trade a gcc contest for 1 of your jelly" I have no idea what a gcc contest is? I asked but got no response.

  18. Military coins or challenge coins are given as Bravo Zulu type awards from Master Chiefs and Commanding Officers in the navy. Those particular coins will normally have the command insignia on one side and the other will have the Commanding Officer's name or an inscription denoting that it is a CO's coin. The coins from the Chief's Mess will have the command insignia on one side and a special marking on the other denoting it was made for the Chief's Mess. Every command I have been to in my nine years in the navy also make command coins that can only be purchased in the command store. They are not sold offship or on the internet. You have to be either a member of the command or have a member of the command get you onboard to be able to buy one of these coins. Just an FYI.
  19. Don't panic just yet. I haven't gotten mine yet either. It will be there!
  20. I love putting together missions to send out! What I don't love is sending out more than one mission to the same person for the same mission because they never recieve the first package... or the second... You have to draw the line somewhere. I've sent missions with the minimum number of coins and packages with quite a bit more. Normally they have quite a bit more. I look at seeking lists and forum posts. I check out the persons' profile. I've made trades to get coins for a person's seeking list. I've bought coins for missions. After putting forth the effort to put together a good package, I don't know if it is more disappointing for me or the person who was supposed to be getting a package! Even worse, putting forth so much effort only to get your own package and it is the minimum number AND coins you already have and have listed on your keepers list! That is hurtful. It is as if some coins were just flung in a mailer and sent out.
  21. My husband and I refer to the Hampton Roads area as The Blackhole for TBs and geocoins. They come in but few make it back out. Some are so lucky as to make it all the way to Richmond and are then dragged back only to disappear. We definately have a coin theif in the area and it appears a taker of TBs too. When our Geojelly disappeared from a cache (it was for a game for area cachers), I decided I would not be activating anymore geocoins. I just don't get taking the geojelly. I've given away a fair number of them to area cachers. I've left them as swag (noted in the log book for the next cacher to trade fairly for the unactivated GeoJelly). If they wanted one all they had to do was e-mail me. Hopefully your coin will make it back into circulation.
  22. A very old and large piece of electronics' history. It was quite heavy and took up most of the space in a large ammo can. And yes, we moved it!
  23. I picked up a half dozen or so coins and travel bugs before going on deployment to the Mediteranean. We went to Spain, Turkey, Italy, France, Greece, Israel and Slovenia. I dropped the travelers off towards the end of my trip so that they could continue on their journeys. I posted pictures from different caches in the places we visited. I haven't heard any complaints from any of the owners.
