  1. I think Mike is losing it! We are still taking info for missions until MARCH 20th. I am also sending out some info for people to start putting their missions together!
  2. Oh - is this a swap mission - where we send to and receive from the same person? No this isn't a swap mission. just misworded it would appear. pairing up meant setting up the assignments. sorry for the misunderstanding.
  3. Hi folks, Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the cut off date for entry to the mission. assignments will be forth coming once the entries are completed. Thanks again for taking part, Mike zazth
  4. It's going to be a mix. I'm not segregating the kiddo missions.
  5. Were we suppose to confirm emails? I got one for Tristin but not for me. Just the usual blurb here in the forums! Only the pet missions have gone out so far. I'm still holding out on starting to send the others out but it won't be long now!
  6. I have you down for a mission and have sent a response to your e-mail. Might want to check your e-mail settings.
  7. E-mails have been sent to everyone that has sent one to us confirming entry. We still have plenty of time to take missions. I am not stopping entries until March 20th so keep them coming!
  8. I have sent out missions for all pets. Still searching for the coins for mine but I have an interesting assortment for the puppy on my list! These should be pretty interesting! Good luck everyone and if you need any extra info don't hesitate to e-mail me and I will see what I can find out for you.
  9. Is this going to be a first come first serve free-for-all or are reservations being taken?
  10. Okay I have sent a response to every one that e-mailed me. I'm thinking about starting to pair up people and send out mission info soon.
  11. For all participants: If you have e-mailed me an entry then you should have received an e-mail back from me. If you haven't received an answer from me, check the address you sent it to and try again. E-mails should be going to zazth@cox.net I have answered all e-mails I have received in regards to the mission.
  12. Who you get as a mission person should help to decide what coins to send. Sometimes you get lucky and have two or more coins that the person has on their seeking list. Sometimes you know some one who has that dream coin and is willing to trade you for the coin to make your mission all that more special. I usually wind up buying or trading for at least one coin for the mission and get lucky on the other coin or coins.
  13. Pet Missions are a go. I have a few for the Geopuppies! I responded to all the e-mails I have received so if you sent an e-mail but did not get a reply you might want to resend it! I should be able to respond within 48 hours to the e-mails. (I have duty on Saturday and I will not be home until Sunday, no computer access.)
  14. Last day to sign up would be March 20th.
  15. If we can get enough people to do pet missions, sure! Mike just got a hamster and he says he's game!
  16. Two trackable coins are mandatory for each mission but other goodies are encouraged. It's the little extras that make the mission more fun for the recepient.

  18. I hadn't thought about this one. I'm glad it was brought up. For those interested in doing this again this year, send me your address, name, caching name, if you are willing to mail outside the US and so forth and so on. We'll do the same rules as last year, at least two trackable geocoins per mission.
  19. I missed when these went on sale. I was on a deployment and that tends to happen. Our internet just isn't conducive to buying things or trying to look at more than one page, forget about the forums or anything else with multiple entries or pictures. When I got back I was disappointed I had missed out on the dragonfly coins yet again! (We missed the 2007 version too!) Then the controversy beagn to heat up over the 2008 version. (I tend to remember a similar issue with the 2007 version.) As people attempted to bail out on the coins and seek their money back, I e-mailed the company. Their website was still up at that point and the contact us function appeared to be working. I offered to buy at least a set of the coins that some one else backed out on. I never even received an e-mail response back. No thanks, but no thanks or anything else. I was sincere in the offer and as I stated in that e-mail, I was willing to wait to receive the geocoin. I guess they did not need my money to be able to finance the coins. Guess they would rather get the coins and ebay them. Whenever that happens.
  20. Thanks for the cointest, it's very nice of you to give up one of these rare and beautiful coins. now for my list. 1. Watch my grandkids grow up. Well, soon as loving son is old enough to have some. 2. Learn as much about living life as one possibly can. 3. Give a smile to someone who I know needs one with no return in it for me at all. (Totally selfless act) 4. Afford to make the rest of my maze series coins. 5. Go around the world meeting new friends and finding caches as I go. Mike zazth
  21. buying coins is very addictive. I started out only wanting one or two. the wife and I now have a few hundred or so. but we also ask for trades for ones we want and if we have coins others like they ask for the trade. hope you find the ones you want. if you need more help, there are plenty of nice folks out here that are willing to help you either find the coins or trade with you to get you them.
  22. RSG that is probably the nicest thing anybody has done for us here! Thank you!
  23. Not really expecting anything back but here goes anyways. I have the following for trade: Christmas Lobsters in Red, Blue and Green Ace of Caching Bucket List Dragonfly Hang Loose LE Albino Lobster Yellow Lobster Texas Spirit Lives Holiday CR in nickel Liliy Pads in both metal Cached and Confused Maze in BN or shiny nickel (LE) tiki Five Five Seeking: Christmas earth Turtles Johnny Cash Dragonfly 2007 Dragonfly Blue 2007 Dragonfly Yellow Lump of Coal Earth Turtle Or reasonable coin that I want. Looking for coin for coin, fair trades. No multiple coins for one coin.
  24. I did my test run many weeks ago but I wasn't here during the sell. I was at work. Mike said he did click the address button. I didn't have this problem on the DT sale. Two coins disappeared out of my basket but I went straight to checkout. This is simply not worth the hassle. As for trades, I've done enough at this point to know to not even bother trying to trade for some coins. I have some coins that I am not willing to part with for just any coin and so does everybody else.
  25. I know Mike was really upset after this one. He said he got stuck in some wierd loop that wouldn't let him check out but I guess kept taking him back to the same page. He didn't get any and had stayed up for the sale. I don't see him staying up for another one at this point. I know I won't. It is too frustrating.
