  1. Blow up boat in the boot of the car, just in case
  2. So really, your disappointment is due to your failure to prepare in advance. I never said there was any disappointment, not sure where you picked that up from. Mine was just a comment. If we get to somewhere we dont feel comfortable we just leave. I dont believe that you have to read 20 pages of logs to have enjoyment from the game.
  3. Just another comment, we don't normally check the previous logs or hint before we go and tackle a cache, so not everyone would get the warnings from previous cachers,
  4. Not sure about the cache in question, but sometimes caches are put in what is a reasonable area, but over time it becomes a rubbish dump or the Druggies move in, sometimes it's not because the CO chose the environment, the environment followed the cache
  5. If it was a bogus entry on a cache I could see a problem, but as it is only a trackable, its only the TB owner who has the extra discover logs, so not sure why anyone else but the TB owner would be concerned.
  6. I had a cacher send one of my TB's to the US with their muggle friends, and now it has gone missing. I wouldnt ever send by mail to a muggle or personally with a muggle
  7. Well the Giga in germany has been archived, and there are still 500 travel bugs in a big black hole. Wrote to the organisers, and they are just saying that they have all been picked up, but not logged. thats a lot of TB's in someones backpack!!!!!!
  8. 1.... Searching at night around under a bridge just opposite a railway station. busily searching, when I look up and see 3 police over on the railway platform, say to partner we have company, what do we tell them. Before we have a chance one of them calls out "Have you found it". apparently they have sprung a few Geo's searching, but none had found it while they there. So we make it a mission to find it, and educate them in what a cache looks like. They said in future they wont help anyone but will enjoy watching 2.....Turn down this road to go hunt for a cache and realised we have driven past, do notice that about a kilometre down the road there are flashing lights from a police car, but ignore them as we are on a mission. Do a U turn, and go to cache location, Geo son and I jump out and start hunting, 2 minutes later we have a police car pull up behind us, asking why I did a U turn. It turns out they were doing random alchol breath tests down the road, and assumed that I did the U turn to avoid been picked up. So there we are Geo son searching for a cache and me doing the random breath test, I blew zero so no hassles. the police officer did explain that earlier in the night they had someone do the same U turn, and he was well over the limit when they eventually caught up with him
  9. As far as I am concerned it is rubbish, and as someone has left rubbish laying around it gets thrown in the bin. and if someone did that at one of my caches the log is deleted without explanation, they have not found my cache, so they have no right to log it.
  10. Had you found some caches before you became a premium member, from what i can work out they wont add to your favourites
  11. How about a quadruple double premium, where GS run a program which everyday, automatically logs 172 caches on your behalf with random log entires. the caches will be programatically spread accross all of the different cache types, ensure you have at least 7 FTF's per day, and ensure you achieve the requirements for every challenge cache available within a 10 day timeframe.
  12. Maybe for triple premium membership, you could also get exclusive access to Hamster caches.
  13. Our first needs maintenance on one of our caches was only about 2 weeks after listing, as it had been muggled. So dont assume it will last for six months. If you cant maintain it don't place it.
  14. I would be interested in trying the Beta, does anyone know approximately when, and how to sign up to try the Beta
  15. Keen to try, but that link just brings us to another which doesnt help
  16. I try to make sure the cache has relatievely regular visits, so that the TB will move on. One of ours was recently left in a cache which is only visited about once a year, we were lucky enough to be able to retrieve it ourselfs. One which has room, does not have moisture or other issues, and isnt a well muggled spot. We have actually placed a few caches which we use for dropping of TB's as we know the security and cache aspects are suitable.
  17. Ok, A bit of education for me please, whats a hamster cache.
  18. I guess I would be worried they would find the actual log on the first visit to the pole than be left wondering what is happening. As for logs, i just put a note on the cache page that any spoilers will be deleted.
  19. Try this - https://www.google.com.au/search?q=spark+canister&tbm=isch&imgil=-87MIHpKIjNulM%253A%253Bxs0A4AiInv9RWM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fitm%25252FAdvocare-Spark-Canister-All-Flavors-FREE-EXPEDITED-SHIPPING-%25252F290964081982&source=iu&usg=__WA_ZAnM4B5C6_xhGPnQ4V_aWbww%3D&sa=X&ei=4HL6U_f_FIHk8AWp8YKAAg&sqi=2&ved=0CFsQ9QEwCA&biw=1440&bih=742#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=-87MIHpKIjNulM%253A%3Bxs0A4AiInv9RWM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fi.ebayimg.com%252F00%252Fs%252FNzc1WDEwMzE%253D%252Fz%252Fbn4AAOxyFIFSAvzZ%252F%2524T2eC16F%252C!)kE9s4Z-UYGBS!vzY5Z8w~~60_35.JPG%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252FAdvocare-Spark-Canister-All-Flavors-FREE-EXPEDITED-SHIPPING-%252F290964081982%3B300%3B225
  20. We finally found one after about 6 visits with multiple sets of eyes on it each time. Yesterday we had it in hand within a minute, a very simple hide once we found it, just didnt have our caching eyes on the other times, or just over thought and complicated the hunt. Keep looking once you find it it will be a "how did I miss that moment"
  21. I hope you waited till you sent yourself an email with the answers, than waited for the ok from yourself. Than went and logged the find. Hmm and thats not cheating to use your terminology
  22. We tend to always take the travel bugs, even if just to move them to the next cache, that helps them gain a couple of K's and the owner knows they havent gotten stuck somewhere. I would never leave one in an unloved cache, as we dont like seeing them sit around for months on end.
  23. We had the following added to one of our logs "Found by Accident, what is Geocaching - Freddy". Didint really concern us, wish we could find him to let him know what the game is. At least he didint muggle it.
  24. I picked one up in a cache 2 weeks ago, which had last been logged by a person 2 years ago, they had not found a cache in that time and never been to the one I found it in. That cache had weekly finds, so it hasnt been sitting there all that time. It appears someone must have found it and just placed in in that cache after 2 years possibly sitting in a glove bo or someones house. So dont write it off as yet it could reappear
