I also paid for three Dragonfly 2008 Coin in June 2008 and never got any of them.

Somehow disappointing that formerly good companies become unreliable thieves. I really have difficulties to understand that behaviour.

I don't know the exact story, so I'm not going to speculate. What I do know is that AE Toys had some problems going on behind the scenes. I had ordered the entire set of 08' dragonflies and after many months of waiting and many emails, I finally demanded a refund. I checked back in on AE Toys a short time later and they had folded. I did get my money back by the way. This is what happened with Geocacher Magazine. I received the first issue and that was it. That guy took everyone's money and vanished. I didn't get my money back that time.

  2. I just purchased an Oregon 300 at REI yesterday for $250. I got the Topo U.S. 100k maps to go with it for an additional $100; that's $350 plus tax.. The Oregon 400t sells for $450 at its cheapest. The only difference between the 400t and the 300 is the preloaded topo maps. Do the math. So I guess you could say that my Oregon 300 is now a 400t, just $100 cheaper. :D

  3. I'm looking for a partner in crime to hit some caches in the treasure Valley area(Boise, Meridian, Nampa, etc.) I prefer it to be a dude, but couples would be nice too. I can't really go caching alone with any females, as my wife would be a little upset about that. Anyway, my wife and I enjoy going, but she isn't into it as much as i am, so I'm alone 99% of the time. I'm into caching for the thrill of the hunt and getting outside and just having a good time. I don't care for the drama, or the politics that some cachers like to get wrapped up in(conflicts within the caching community, etc.) and I don't like complications. I just want to cache and enjoy myself. Anyway, if anyone's interested, drop me a line and we'll figure it out. Cache on!

  4. I know that this is an old conversation, but I have also attempted to contact this individual(s), several times and I can't get any responses. It would be one thing if we hadn't payed for our subscriptions, but we did and the publishers of this magazine took off with all the money. To bad there wasn't a class action against them.

  5. I recently sent an inquiry to GC.com about a new cache idea and they suggested that I post that idea on the forums to get everyone's opinion. So here it is: What do you all think about a dual (or more) ownership of caches? In my neck of the woods, there are a lot of caches that are collaborated on by groups of cachers, but the cache can only show up on one of the cacher's profiles. What if there was an option (kind of like a friend request) so that we could have multiple owners for a cache? All the owners would be able to access the the cache page just like they do for their own caches so that everyone can edit, modify, or do maintenance. Everyone would also get credit for the hide. Any thoughts?

  6. Cainrcc returned my coins to me and I returned his to him. He's an honorable man. It's to bad that I didn't give him the chance to show that about himself. Once again, my appologies to him and everyone else that I offended. In regards to trading, I have gold and silver Templar coins available, a 2006 Gold Compass Rose, a 2007 Geoscrew and the 2006 Geonut. If anyone is still interested in trading with me. If not then thats ok too.

  7. *** ATTENTION, ATTENTION*** I'm new to the whole coin trading thing, so I guess that makes me a bit naive, just a bit. For every coin collector out there I implore you to know who you're trading with. Get to know that person as well as you can before you make a deal. Don't get screwed like I did. I made the mistake of trusting someone and I got really screwed. All I'm saying is be careful. Some of these coins are very valuable within the community and it's evident to me now that people will do anything to get what they want, not that I wasn't aware of that already. Cover your butts. To all of you who traded with me honestly, you know who you are and I thank you for the opportunity and the nice coins. After this loss, I can no longer do this. I'm not sticking my hand out there to get slapped anymore. Take care all. :P

***ATTENTION AGAIN*** It seems as though I jumped the gun on this whole thing. :D The person in question was not trying to screw me. They sent me an email and appologized for the whole thing it was a big mix up and a mistake, so with that in mind I appologize to all of you and the individual in question. It seems as though I was wrong in this case and I'm glad I was wrong. I'm sorry to everyone.

  9. Has anybody seen the new Wisconsin coins? I don't think that I've ever seen such a beautiful design, not even in a Compass Rose. I'm sure glad I got one, I would have been kicking myself over that. I urge everyone else out there to get one if you can.

I totally agree it really is a beautiful coin. I can't wait til we get ours. I don't usually collect state coins unless the state has a special meaning to me but this one was a must have.

It's funny, I totally agree. But this coin is definitely the exception.
