  1. Yes, Tomtec has created a bookmark list of ATV accessible caches. Oddly enough it's called "ADV Ride Caches", and I came across the list when I was reading the listing for Holy Smoke #GCP173.
  2. Okay - another wild guess; 169
  3. I just found this topic. I'd be intereted in joining, but am away this coming weekend and can't make it. Please keep me in mind for round two.
  4. As they’ve done for the past couple of summers, the Land O’ Lakes Tourist Association in eastern Ontario is sponsoring the Hi Tec Trek III. In years past they would supply a series of GPS coordinates, then your job was to visit those locations and make a note of what attraction you found there. This year it’s a bit different. Rather than supplying you with the coordinates, they are asking for the coordinates for the six given locations. When you’ve visited all six spots you win a pair of Bushnell Binoculars worth about 40 bucks. Here are the six locations you’ll need to visit and make note of their GPS coordinates; Holleford Crater – Holleford Golden Fleece Mine – Flinton St. James Church – Sharbot Lake Smallest Jailhouse – Tweed Cemetery – Battersea Grist Mill – Denbigh Once you’ve got all of the information you need, call 800-840-4445, and they’ll supply you with the coordinates for where you can pick up the binoculars. Last year they could be picked up at the tourist office in Kaladar during regular office hours, I imagine it’s the same deal this year. You may want to call that number first to make sure they’ve got some binoculars left before you head out on the trek. Have fun, and be sure to post your trek adventures here.

    La Snow!

I had a 10-find day a couple of months ago. That was before the snow, and was bike-assisted.
  6. I would contact the tourist office in Kaladar. That's where you can pick up the binoculars, and they would be the best ones to tell you whether or not they have any left. Give them a call at 800-840-4445. Good luck and have fun.
  7. The Land 'O Lakes tourist region in eastern Ontario is running a promotion to get people to discover their part of the country. It's called the Hi Tec Trek. The idea is; you are given a number of GPS co-ordinates, you visit those locations an make note of what you find there. Once you've been to all five spots, visit the tourist office in Kaladar, and the nice lady will give you a pair of Bushnell binoculars. Visit this webpage for all the details; http://www.lol.on.ca/LOLTA_NDCC_Guide/HiTecTrek.pdf I claimed my Bushnells last week and they had plenty still available at the time. The office is open 8:30 - 5 on weekdays, or at least it was in August. If you'd like to call the tourist office to make sure they're open, and they still have binoculars available, their number is 800-840-4445. Have fun, Ciggy
  8. With a name like Money, Money, Money I'm not surprised this one got lifted. Now, if you called it Vegetables, Vegetables, Vegetables I'm sure the no-goodniks out there wouldn't bother with it. ciggy
