  1. Honkity, Honk, Honk........This was close to a cache that we walked by twice and I had it in the gps! We're getting worse at this instead of better.............. Splashette Honk Honk...did you check to see if the tadpoles have legs yet? yeah...Janie walked past Handsome Jimmy Johnson...I think Steve just didn't want her drooling over the tin.... One thang f'r shore, any Lakeside Geocacher is bound to grab that container and never let go. I don't know why they admire NASCAR drivers ... now that all of them drive the very same car. All the NASCAR races look like train-night at the old El Cajon Speedway. The races are now won by the pit crews so there's your actual NASCAR stars. Pathetic I say. As for the tadpoles, no legs yet and they sure need to hurry 'cause thangs are gettin' critical in that puddle of mud. Water temperature is rising and so the water is evaporating. There's nothing for them to eat but silt and brothers and sisters. Next Geocacher that goes up there should bring a 55-gallon drum of water for them poor little creatures. On the other hand maybe just round them up in a bucket and bring them back down to that little gurgling brook. Maybe we could find somebody that always drives to hides in a hand-washed, hardtop Jeep to transport a water drum up the hill for the tadpoles. Sorry to hear the the splashes are slipping ... and wondering what's distracting them so? Hmm, how old do you suppose they are now ... onset of oldtimers disease by any chance? No wait, I'll just bet that Janie has replaced their pillows in spite of my sage advice. How come nobody listens to me? On another front, have y'all noticed how Flagman has given up hiking in favor of riding around in his hand-washed, hardtop Jeep? Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw log-entry photos of his Jeep out on this little stroll. I swear, what's our local Geocaching community coming to? Sweet ol' Harmon Rescue mission anybody? Poor little critters are packing themselves into the deepest spots as you can see. I emptied my water bottle for them but that was just a futile gesture. Look really close and you can see their little pleading eyes. Jodi, soon you'll have to change the title on that hide. The end is near. That makes me very sad... Nancy, For gosh sakes, don't be sad. It's a call for action. Go Green! ... save Jodi's pollywogs. Harmon Looks like they do have legs. They won't need that puddle much longer.
  2. Are you trying to make me homesick?
  3. Colorado is going to get hit by a Tsunami? Well that should be interesting. If the Tsunami is going to get Colorado at 5000 feet, we are in trouble here in Alabama.
  4. You guys are having way too much fun. Love the pics. I wish I could be there. RM
  5. You guys should show this to your "friends" at ABSP. This is a National Monument that is named for it's archeolgical sites and they allow geocaching.
  6. I'm trying to think if there is a geocacher named Plop.... P.S. I thought that cacher from Colorado was already on sock probation... Definitely on probation but the perp' fled the State quite some time ago.. I hear they are going to send him to Alabama where they embrace the unbunched sock look.
  7. Hey Dave...You worry too much. The Narrows are a lot less scary close up... That's nuts.
  8. Are you really up to doing the narrows? I don't have a big problem with shelf roads, but I don't think you will ever find me on the narrows of Longs Peak.
  9. Someone must be back from Longs Peak. Did you make it all the way up there?

  21. Uhhhhh, these are OLD pictures..............right??? Uhhhhh, no. The pictures are from Saturday. Sorry for not contacting the SD off road gang to try to get together in the Desert, but our old neighborhood friends planned the whole weekend so we had to go along with their plans. They are the ones who originally got us into off roading. Lisa drove the Jeep out and I flew out just for the weekend. We did The Squeeze, Coyote Canyon, Rodriguez Canyon and the Diablo Dropoff. The Jeep made it through everything no problem, including climbing through the Squeeze from the bottom (just for fun). We saw another Jeep come way too close to flipping on it's back on that last ledge on The Squeeze run (the ledge that Habu blew out his differential on).
  22. I would hate to see the cache in the San Juan's get archived as they currently are not allowing any new geocahes there. I would adopt the cache, but it's too far away for me to maintain it. You may want to post your note over on the GCCO forums also. A few more Colorado folks will see it there. Edit: Actually, I just checked and your caches are all outside the San Juan National Forest.
