  2. My daughter and I were trying to come up with a name about the same time there was a Heritage Canada commercial on T.V. In it some Inuit were travelling by canoe with a non native. When they got to shore, the Inuit people made and Inukshuk and the man asked why do they do this? Their response was " So that people will know we were here." So by signing the logbook "Inukshuk"ers, we are letting people know we were there!!!
  3. I have used a mountain bike on several occasions as it is my real passion. In fact I use the placements of caches to find new trails that I haven't biked yet. Or if I'm travelling somewhere I find caches in that area to hopefully find good bike trails. It has worked nicely so far. I enjoy trying to link different trails together so I use the roads as little as possible and still cover a lot of ground. I made a cache with a bike theme. See it at Cycle Cache
  4. Count me in as a Left Hander. All the great ones are!!!
  5. I have found since I don't have a lot of time to cache, I am very selective about the ones that I do. I will read the logs to see what other cachers say about the hike and then go the most scenic or challenging. One thing I have noticed is that some caches placed are there because of the terrain or scenery. Then there will be a log by some who say "they ran in and ran out to do more caches" and that they will come back to see the area later. I bet they never go back because they are lining up the next multicache day. I think you miss a lot by this approach. One thing is for sure though....You sure see some beautiful areas that you would never know existed if weren't for other cachers pointing them out!!! The "Inukshuk"ers
  6. Hi I have a Sport Trac Pro also and although I haven't tried it yet, on my next trip to the States I was planning on making the Region needed with the US streets program and then just copy that *.rgn file to the Canadian Streets "Doc" folder. Then using the Canadian streets porgram Select both the Canadian and the US map from the list and upload to the gps unit. I haven't had to try this yet but I don't see why that wouldn't work.
