  1. Now if I had opposable thumbs so I could sign the log, I wouldn't need the two-legged partner!
  2. Chirp is the first-generation design, wait until you see the 3G version called Hissy-fit that, when you approach the hide, makes a container jump up and down and start shouting "Over here! Over here!" By the way, something I wonder about, have any of you GeoDawg owners trained your dog to sniff-out cache containers for you? If not why not? Seems like a useful thing to do if coupled with snake-avoidance training. To state an obvious point the command would be "Find" not "Fetch." Harmon Ol' Pal- Why in the world do we need to be trained for that? When we have our two legged Sherpas trained to do it for us. While we are enjoying ourselves chasing rabbits, getting burrs in our hair, gathering ticks for later, etc., our ever-faithful friends Find the cache, log us in (no opposable thumbs for holding the pen) and rehide the cache.
  3. There's a special place in heaven That's been reserved For all the dogs that so faithfully served Those of us whose hearts are bereaved When our place on earth they must leave[/color]
  4. I sometimes take this human with me and geeshh are they a bother to cache with on the trail! If it's not answering that phone attached to his body, it is always yelling for me as if I am lost. I'm not the one that needs that handheld thing-a-bod to find my way around in the woods. I find with my human it is normally a better trip if I bring one of those cheap lasers with me to keep his attention "ohh look, a shiny object". Now if I could just get him to smell out those ammo cans and lock-n-locks a little quicker!
  5. Clean and unblemished??? I think you might want to check out the most recent cache my caching partner placed out {Cholla Sandwhiches}}, at least your not taking the sticker things internally! Of course the human only posts the pictures of my good side, not these: Fishing for mud-pies You think my nose looks too big? Of course if you take enough mid-hike naps along the trail and get your beauty rest while everyone else is searching for the cache you can be one step ahead of them: And of course those bags I carry aren't full of water and trade items, or even ammo cans, but all my doggie shampoos, coat enrichers, and make-up! Of course it all starts with lots of raw egg, very good for a nice sheen to your coat, try it sometime after caching, just ask at DQ, I am sure they have a raw egg sundae there.
  6. HONK HONK P.S. My new hiking partner is going to be Piglet!!! No more swatting us with newspapers, making us carry all of our stuff as well as yours, AND.......we're going to Dairy Queen whenever we want to!!! Splashette Mmmmmmmm ice cream I'm with you, let's dump these newspaper wielding, Sherpa loving taskmasters and spend our geocaching time looking under banana splits at all the Dairy Queens for micros!!!!
  7. Durn-straight I only carry my own stuff BiPed, bad enough you have fell out of training and stopped carrying it for me. Oh did I mention that those rolled newspapers have been pre-moistened by myself before you get a hold of them for your reading pleasure Dairy Queen!!!! Did someone mention ice-cream?
  8. Hey! I resemble that remark!!!! I guess if you would let me off the lead once in a while we could have some good eats for dinner. Other observations from my standpoint: Hiking poles are best used collapsed by my kind. All hiking poles are for seesies, yeash PEOPLE get some claws and you wouldn't need those things, yeah right the "Theory of Evolution" produces a better product.
  9. We're busy toasting marshmallows. And diligently building new cache containers for those that may have been affected!
  10. No we shouldn't I believe he has every right to start an argument. And if Harmon runs it it could be: Well, It's one pound for a five minute argument, but only eight pounds for a course of ten Photoshop lessons. Well, I think it would be best if Harmon perhaps started off with just the one and then see how it goes. Fine. Well, We'll see who's free at the moment.
  11. I bet Piglet9 is a B.... Correct!, It just seems odd to me that they would be necessary to find a cache, considering I quite often have to wait for my caching partner to find them as I have already found them and gone after more interesting things... Bunnies, lizzards and birds! So in all technical terms I would be a B.
  12. Yeah, I second that emoticon! Especially when it seems they are all placed way too high for short legged cachers. Some pictures explaining my point: It's helpful when lizards hide on the cache container! The Bipeds couldn't have done it without us. Sorry, it seemed there was a great lack of photos explaining my post! , we don't mind micros, as long as they are in decent spots, and that doesn't necessarily mean way out in the country, if they are hidden well and even in the center town, show some thought as to location, they are all good!
  13. Wow! Wow! Let's see; if it's not micros, LUMPS or whatever sinks your boat it's discrimination against us! I say GeoDogs UNITE, we can't have cat icon users even remotely trying to put us down. On the serious side, some people enjoy their dogs almost as much as we enjoy our Humans, if we are invited along for the caching experience, so be it. I do believe the whole point of the game is to have fun, whether for us or for our human counterparts. I would guess if the photo is unrelated to the cache a simple request to remove it might unclutter the cache page?
  14. Located near here: Awesome View Best watch-out behind you for those creepy critters after dark! And another sunset near here: Jeep King!
  15. Some pictures of the RJTB I received on it's first day of travels with us, before we release it:
  16. WOOF! I got one and David and Sumrall didn't! WOOF! I guess it just goes to show that JEEP does know who the target audience is, since I got one also, but CTYankee9 hasn't received one! Mine is: "West Fork Deep River (NC)" It should be going out tomorrow in the Horse Thief Area; maybe.
  17. WoooHoooooo, got mine in the mail yesterday and it is named for: West Fork Deep River and is located in North Carolina, USA It is starting out it's travels from Spring Valley, CA; ohhhh and the BiPed is PO'd {Not Poisen Oaked} I got mine and he hasn't got one yet! I love the water so it is appropiate I received one from a water obstacle, thank you JEEP, will be dropping it off on or about the 1st!
  18. Hmmmm, not sure where the Op is going with this, I don't have a dog that goes caching with me, but I do have this neat BiPed that helps me out. You know no opposable thumbs makes it hard to hold a pencil for logging, also no thumbs makes it hard to use the space key on a qwerty! that dog on the picture i saw a dig at moga that had the same pack Not sure where or what Moga is, but I haven't been out of California as of yet. The pack can been had at REI and comes in different sizes and different colors. The BiPed then took small discarded still useable CamelBak bladders .40 oz I think they are which fit into the pack very nicely on each side. Of course I drain from each side evenly, if you don't or use water bottles it has a tendancy to tip to the heavier side; but rocks in the lighter side will re-balance the saddlebag out.

  20. I'm not sure about using other K9s for the finding of caches, but the BiPeds sure do come in handy ! You know the retrieving, logging and such. Sometimes I find it dififcult without opposing thumbs to hold the pen .
