  1. Ah, I see, thanks for the pointer. Had not been aware that the website intentionally supports ordered lists in markdown notation.
  2. If you start your log with a date, e. g. "1. Januar" (more specific: a number + a dot), it will get converted to <li>Januar</li> instead of staying at 1. Januar There seems to be some markdown converter being involved (wrongly in this case). (Tested using the website.)
  3. @GC: Any news on this? (Replies to emails from message center being truncated)
  4. Stumbled upon a recent bug, as other users notified me that my replies to their messages have been truncated. Here's how to reproduce: Someone sends me a message using the message center. I reply using my e-mail program, in a text-only format (no HTML) The recipient receives my message, but sees only the first few words or the first two lines, without any hint that the message got truncated. I'm using the message center this way since its beginning, and so far it has always worked in this regard. The first user report regarding a truncated message has reached me at the beginning of March, so it seems to be a bug introduced relatively recently.
  5. Hi ktaylor211, thanks for your reply. I've double-checked the tested versions to be up to date - they were: Since the two beta testers' answers had not been accepted by the app, they were not able to continue the adventure, as I had set the locations to "must be in order". So I updated the adventure to lift that restriction, sent them the new link, and then they were able to move from location to location. But still none of their answers got accepted by the app, although they were correct. Geofencing is not a problem, since that is disabled in the test version (works). The adventure is now published, and works. So only the test drive is impacted. I need to check which platform they are using. I was using the Android app, and for me as owner of the Lab Adventure entering answers in the test version worked.
  6. Ah, hadn't seen this sub forum. Thanks for moving this thread to the right place.
  7. Not sure if this is the right forum to post a bug report for the Adventure Lab app... I'm currently test-driving a new lab adventure and stumbled upon the problem, that no answer gets accepted by the app while in test mode (although double-checked). Way to reproduce: create new adventure with stations, questions, answers select "test" in lab builder scan this qr code, send this link to a different player, who starts the adventure lab app using this link If I'm doing the test on my own, with the account that created the lab adventure, the answers get accepted. But that somehow defeats a test-drive, as I already know the correct answers :-)
  8. additional information: once I got a "TB not activated" message - and, after reloading, the TB page with 200+ log entries...
  9. Having attended an event today I had discovered quite a few TB and geocoins today. Trying to log them using the website I encountered a problem (which I already had a couple of times during the last few weeks). This happens sporadically (non-predictive): I enter the TB code and hit enter (or click the button) the system says "TB code not found" I reselect the same TB code from my browser's form field saved entries, reenter, and either I'm back to step 2 or the TB's page openes From the 30 or so TB/geocoins today this happened to me for four or five of them. Any known problems with the database or the scripts?
  10. https://www.geocaching.com/promotions/promo/maryhyde/https://www.geocaching.com/promotions/promo/maryhyde/ Form to enter e-mail-address, codeword and check does not show up when using Firefox (see screenshot below; tested with Firefox 55.0.2, 64 bit, on Windows 10). No problems with Internet explorer 11.
  11. Please give us back separate logs for need maintenance - urgently needed (IMHO): as a geocacher I want to be able to give a detailed description if something's wrong with the cache - the "new logging experience" forces me to write a separate log entry for this or to mix it up with the actual "found it" log entry but: many cache owners down read "found it" or "write notes" anymore, especially those of trails, so the information is lost - "bad user experience" for the next geocachers coming to this cache... the new standard texts when pressing the "report a problem" button are written in the language my profile is set to - which may have nothing to do with the cache owner's language - bah! the new way of "reporting a problem" may be an additional way to go for those new to the game or for those who do not want to give additional information - but for the rest of us the old way was much better.
  12. I'm still having problems with MC emails: I've received two messages today, from a new contact, the messages being a couple of hours apart. MC sent me a notification for the second message only :-(
  13. This is great news, and a long awaited feature. Thanks a lot for that! May I suggest two additions for even better usability: always use the cache type specific icon (like blue & white question mark icon for mysteries, the orange one for multies etc.), but put a marker on it if the coordinates are changed (maybe a big red dot in the lower right "corner"?) make it switchable via the sidebar whether caches are shown at their changed location or the original location #1 makes it easier to identify which type the cache has and whether you have the time today to look for it or not. (Because changed coordinates aren't always the final coords, it could be a waypoint of the last found stage so far etc.) #2 helps you avoid the following specific situation while still giving you the benefits of the current solution: let's imagine that you made some error when entering the changed coordinates, like entering "E" instead of "W" or hitting the wrong digit. Then with the current solution you probably would never ever see this cache again, as it probably would be completely out of your map. (except you remember the GC code)
