Hello,
Our user name is Point&Go and we very disappointed to find out that all our cache pages with <html> tags have been tampered with. We would like to know why EVERY SINGLE ONE of our Cache pages has been altered in some way or another. We put a lot of effort and time into making our pages unique, different and fun for everyone as so with all of our caches. We had NO Warning that our pages would be altered and the page sounds turned off. The midi music, .wav files, .gifs and .jpegs serve a purpose if not in the form of a hint to help people find the cache but also make the pages fun to view! We did NOT intend to have just plain black and white unformatted text on all our cache pages; if we wanted to read just plain black and white text we would open our newspaper.
For example we have a cache named Hogans Cache
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=53732
Without the Hogan Heros theme music playing in the background and the photo of Schultz on the cache page what’s the point to this cache? The cache container is an ordinary looking oak tree stump that is about 10” in diaminater and about 2ft tall. The fake stump has a Large PVC pipe container that is attached to the bottom so when the stump is pulled up, it reveals the cache – just like Hogans escape tunnel out of Col. Klinks camp.
Another example: Captain Morgans Treasure

When you pull up this page with your child and tell him that we’re going to go look for a Pirate treasure chest and you showed him the cache page on your computer and all that he saw was black text how excited do you think he would be….? Without the pirate music playing in the background and the photos displaying like intended? One of the photos is a link to a map that needs to be printed out and taken with you – without that map you Will Not be able to find the treasure. Again it takes a certain thrill out of it..
One of the reasons we joined Geocaching.com was to have outdoor fun and adventures with our children. Telling stories of treasure and true adventure is one thing – but, to a child that can actually SEE and HEAR it on the computer screen in front of them before going to look for it is a completely different type of motivator for them. If there is no fun in it for them then why do we do it?
We have not found 1000’s of caches nor do we intend to try to CRAM as many caches as possible into a single day like many of the people out there that turn geocaching into some type of completion. We like to spend quality family time doing this with our children. We are sorry not everyone can load our pages at top speed or cram our caches into a list with 100’s of others at a time, but again it is QUALITY not Quantity of caches hidden or found. For example, we could go out and hide 50 micros caches in a single day and just post that there is a log book and people need to sign it, but what makes that find fun? Just another one to add to you ALL important found stat page? It should be about the adventure and unique and unknown places you have to travel to find them … but maybe we are missing something here?
Below is a list of all our active caches. Take a look, all the items that have been altered really do effect how the caches are viewed. We do not add items or sounds to our cache pages that DO NOT pertain to the cache in some way or another.

Unfortunately we do not think we will be renewing our PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP when it expires nor will we be devoting anymore of our time to creating and hiding any OUT OF THE ORDERNARY caches – we see no point in doing it now if you’re going to take half of the fun out of it.
A Very Disappointed,
