  1. Its not me! Its Mark! I'm just excited about the change and helping to spread the word! Forums are still not a sure thing. Have to wait and see.
  2. Extreme website makeover!! Check out the new GBES site! www.gbesgeo.org Mark did a great job!! Gotta love caching in Nevada!
  3. I'm waiting for the new GBES boards. Preview looks really good!
  4. Well, I was here earlier but missed you all. Told you I have crappy timing! Too much snow! I'm SICK OF IT!!!! They said this would end yesterday. They LIED! Yesterday they said it will end Friday. We'll see what they say on Friday. I'm tired of being cold!!!! Why won't Ed McMahon just come pay me that long overdue visit and give me my check??? Then I could just go back to Jamaica and be out in the sun!!!! Allright. Done ranting. Going to throw the clothes in the dryer and go to bed. Back to work in the morning. What a life. LOL!!
  5. Is it just me or is anyone else having problems getting in to nga? Takes forever to get the home page to come up then goes nowhere. Just when I thought it was getting good! LOL! Oh well. Always knew I had crappy timing.
  6. Hello Rostropovich! Don't know of any regional sites with cache lists. You might be best off running pocket queries for those areas. Anyone else know of a site like this?? Angie
  7. OK. Got it Teri! When you said blue 'trail' I took it literally! Didn't realize its a walk in town. A friend of mine who lives out in Washoe Valley said it's not real good ground conditions for a hike there this weekend. I wanted something out of town so I'll go back and check out that bookmark list I found. Please let me know if you come across any more of those good lists or caches. Thanks! Ang
  8. Most but not all of the snow has melted. Don't know about Washoe Valley though. I'll just have to take a look and see. What snow is left isn't much so its not a big deal. The mud is my concern right now. I don't care about getting the shoes dirty, that's what they are for. I just don't want mud up to my ankles! I'm definitely interested in the Live and Let Die hike. Going to check that out now on the site. How is the ground along the blue line trail? I have no idea where that is. Is there a cache near it that I can look up? Thanks Teri! Angie
  9. Come on Teri! Where are you? I know you cruise the boards late at night! I know you know where some are! Heck, you probably own some! Free reign for a shameless self plug here! Ang
  10. Anyone know of a cache with a nice 3-4 mile hike? Really want to get out of the house for a while and go for an afternoon somewhere with a nice view. This cold weather is irratating my bad knee a bit but I'll just take some Advil and slap a heat patch on it. Sick of being stuck indoors! Want a nice hike where the ground won't be too muddy right now. Somewhere within an hour of Reno. Scenic views a big bonus! Thanks! Angie
  11. I just found out about the geocaching World Wide Flash Mob happening November 10th all over the world. There are 28 entries so far from countries such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, Iraq and the United Kingdom. I can't believe there isn't a post here about it so I wanted to get the word out more so more cities will participate. Check out http://docs.google.com/View?docid=d3vxrg4_179cbqd8d for some of the details. To see a list of participating cities do a search for caches using keyword 'WWFM' I'll be participating in the London WWFM! Hope to see you all participate!
  12. If BLM gave their permission on this specific cache, then why not state that on the cache page and let it stay?
  13. I want to go to Denver!!! I was actually stuck spending the night in Denver back in May because of a late connecting flight. I was SO wishing I had some local caches loaded in my GPS that I actually DID have with me but no......... I had planned on being home in Reno that afternoon. I do think it has slowed down here. The weather has been pretty hot. We are happy this week that it is below triple digits. Even the message boards here have slowed way down. I think its a bit sad. I've only been caching since late October so I have never seen this kind of lull in activity and I hope this is nothing out of the ordinary and it picks back up again.
