  1. Wayfrog, I messaged the Officer in Where's in a Name on July 21, 2018 and did not get a response. I would like to be added as an officer. Currently there are only two officers to manage the category. My message from July 21: Max and 99 says, Hi there wilsonjw. I would love to be promoted to an officer in the "Where's in a name?" category! It's one of my favorites! Sincerely, Max and 99 Category Managers:
  2. There's a cache I've solved (the puzzle) but there is no way to get the coordinates without texting to a number. I know from previous caches that once you do they have your phone number and know who you are. I wish there was a checker on the page instead.
  3. That doesn't sound right!
  4. If everyone only logs a Find on the caches they physically went to, no problem. Signing a group name to save room on the log is ok in my book, but you should mention that in your log. But if you didn't participate in finding the cache, don't log that you found it. Just curious what you mean by cooperative cache trail.
  5. I'm concerned about calling them cooperative trails. I sign your name on half of the caches, you sign my name on the other half. We each claim a find on all the caches. That's what comes to mind when I think of a cooperative power trail.
  6. In peer review. Since there are currently no categories in peer review I can't cut and paste the criteria. I'm sure someone knows where it is.
  7. I disagree. I think that would give the impression that regular maintenance is not something the CO has to worry about.
  8. But those categories were approved long before our current criteria, right? Today's categories are voted on by today's criteria, of which prevalence is a factor. I have suddenly started posting in a lot of prevalent categories, cuz, well, I need them for my hunts. I'm suddenly glad they're an option.
  9. COs shouldn't abandon caches. I had to archive one last week and I am not looking forward to the trek to retrieve the damaged container and scattered contents. Abandoning it would be irresponsible.
  10. To reiterate, If you know the waymark is gone and it's already marked as such, don't visit it. If you have to for a scavenger hunt, I understand. I WISH that Legacy waymarks could be excluded from scavenger hunts, but without a way for the system to do that, we're out of luck.
  11. I wouldn't count on there BEING a next person if the cache is reported to be in really bad condition.
  12. You might start by posting a note on the cache page.
  13. They may not be as prevalent as I thought. Today while driving around I looked for them where I expected to see them, but found nothing. Maybe I was looking in the wrong part of town.
  14. I think we have a whopping two locations in my state! I call dibs.
  15. I may be out of touch (Almost certainly), but I'm not aware of those where I live. The closest thing resembling your description would be car rental services.
  16. She does have it logged on the right date, and mentions she had to work most of the day. The CO even reminds everyone to make sure the date is 18 when logging, which was nice.
  17. Do you mean in addition to the ones on your profile?
  18. Don't count on any TBs actually being in the geocache. Be happy if it is.
  19. I just tested it too, with a local friend. Even though I checked the box for her to see my email, she said when she hits reply it goes to Waymarking.
