  1. Here's the accompanying blog post: Blog post: Return of challenge caches.
  2. May 2016, which matches the date information in The Help Center.
  3. I just checked on Chrome, and I can map the list and delete caches in the list.
  4. I think it would be great if the waypoints you enter on the app could be visible on the website. I found quite a few forum discussions about this.
  5. I have asked three different people if they could help, and did not get a response from anyone.
  6. When I follow your steps, on Chrome, it shows all of my geocache hides including the archived ones, on list and map view. Same when I view your hides from your public profile. It shows archived ones on the list view and the map view.
  7. I think only HQ can tell you why those are archived. Is there any chance you deleted the adventure instead of the test?
  8. Is it a list from a pocket query? Then it's stuck there for 7 days.
  9. Here's one of my favorites, which may give you some ideas: https://coord.info/GC854EX The reward for completing the trail was a beautiful coin. The photo of the coin is on my profile. I just want to make sure you are asking about a geotrail, not an official geotour, correct? I don't think you have to have a specific amount or types, but a variation of them is much appreciated by visitors. One complaint I recently saw on a geotour was that the caches were all micros with missing codes. Not good.
  10. Only by cache, not hider. This feature has certainly been asked for before!

  12. From the Blog: New Souvenir Blue Switch Day We often underestimate our reliance on GPS (Global Positioning System), yet, over the course of 24 years, it has fundamentally reshaped our lives and the world we inhabit. Imagine how different our daily routines would be without GPS technology. Among many other things, paper maps would be necessary to navigate from point A to point B and turn-by-turn delivery tracking would be impossible. Notably, geocaching would never have come into existence. This transformation traces back to a pivotal moment on May 2, 2000—dubbed Blue Switch Day by geocachers. Before May 2000, Selective Availability restricted GPS technology to military use. However, on Blue Switch Day, the U.S. government made a landmark decision which opened up GPS for public use. Geocachers commemorate this day as a milestone, marking it with pride and celebration. The advent of precise GPS technology brought a new era of possibilities, fostering innovation and exploration worldwide. It’s no coincidence that the very next day, on May 3, 2000, the first geocache was hidden, giving birth to the game of geocaching. Geocaching HQ created a souvenir for geocachers to celebrate Blue Switch Day 2024. To earn this souvenir, geocachers must find one geocache, Event Cache, or Adventure Lab® Location between May 2–5, 2024. How will you celebrate Blue Switch Day this year?

  14. I took you up on the invite. I'm curious as to why on your trackables page, you posted a photo of someone else's trackable number. Clear as could be. Maybe it's just a friend of yours and they don't mind? Just curious.
  15. That sounds fishy to me, and I am always happy to help people who get stuck on an AL question. I know how frustrating it is when you can't figure out an answer, so if someone reaches out to me I gladly help. In turn, I really appreciate when someone helps me when I get stuck and I cannot get a response from the ALO. But that does sound suspicious!
  16. That seems like a problem on his end, not yours. You can't do maintenance on it. You can contact the player, though. Have you tried that? Has anyone else had issues with the geofence?
  17. Can you be more specific? What's a birthday cache? Do you have to find one on your birthday or in your birthday suit (we had one of those in my area). I'm not sure what the challenge is asking for.
  18. What happens when you click on Finish Game?
  19. I wish that were true in my area, but it is not. There are quite a few independent adventure labs with 10 locations. I have a theory how they got them and I don't consider it ethical.
  20. Did you sign up for the annual subscription in the app?
