I added goodies to my kit recently. Not really TOTT, but since my kids no longer cache with me I stopped trading goodies. Recently though, I ran across a cache that had a couple memento items I really wanted and had nothing to trade. So just this week I loaded my backpack up with value-ranged tradable goodies. Oh, and also this week I just armed my TOTT kit with string and a magnet. A cache I will get soon requires some tool of this sort.

I found a cache that can only be gotten during winter!!! Its a cache located on a Double Black slope at Heavenly Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe CA. It was a fun find. But the area is off limits outside the ski season.

I'm planning a trip to Southern India again soon... later February... Will be in Bangalore, Chenani, Madurai, Kolkata, and maybe Nagaland (Kohima).

Is there anyway to figure out who has the most finds on Geocahcing.com? I keep a list of the top cache finders that I come across, but it is really a hit & miss process without some kind of database search tool. cccooper with +12,000 finds is the highest I can locate.

I picked mine as a way to encourage my wife to be more a part of the geocaching experience. As Rhett's advances toward Scarlett in Gone With The Wind usually failed, so did mine. She liked the idea, but only joins me on rare occassions.

Although I don't geocache prolifically, I have cached in several countries. One of the most fun locations was Tenerife, a Spanish Island off the coast of Africa. Other places include Sinapore, England, Thailand, India, South Africa and Swaziland. I have planted caches in India and Swaziland because there were none nearby. The one I planted in Bangalore, India keeps turning up missing. And others do not seem to stay put either. I may try a V-cache in Bangalore soon. Vinny & Sue, I've run into Miinesota Dave too while in India.

The highest I've seen so far is 4046 from 94605 Oakland. About 40% of this area is ocean. From my home in san jose, there's 3599. Just a sidenote, 94605 Oakland will include Stockton too.

When I brought my 76S last year, I was battling the same question you are now. Vista or 76S. I liked everything about the 76S over the Vista except the size. Not owning the Vista, I may not know what I am missing but I have never been inconvenienced by my 76S' size no matter the terrian or conditions.
