wow sad to see it shut down havent gotten to update in awile and just read about it closing whould like to see someone like robertlipe or someone remake it or be allowed the code to make a sats site like this one it was so simple and it was free

good idea never thought relly much about reading them from the gps well you can always mark it as found again and the comments will show and then see where the tb was from just whould have to detle the extra found

you can upload them as field notes on geocaching.com and when u click post log it you will see it or you can connect ur gps to the computer and in the garmin folder go to geocache vists file and it will show the geocaches and the comments

well not everyone is as perfect as you davidmac and in mapsource it dont overlay but in ur gps it does

city nav dont show counties u can use http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/ just select the state or all us and download it u will have to instil it to the gps in a differnet place then city nav if ur city nav is on the sd card just instil the counties to the internal memory

ya sounds like a colorado cord i had a colorado and car cord so i tryed it when i replaced my colorado for the oregon and it was backwards

havent seen that happen i dont use gsak also u can load 500 caches per gpx on the oregon

i will tell ya the screen freeze thing happens when u put gpx files on the gps i think it has to do with a certion number of gpx files im not shure about that part

does it fix the gps from dieing screen fadeing on start up?

i got the reset to work that g-o cashers said do what it says and when u tap yes to reset i keep clicking it until screen faded then i waited like maybe 30secs to 1min tryed to turn it on and it worked do wait longer the safer the gps just fades its still on so its still gonna reset while the screen looks like its gone or off

i did ok ty very much g-o cachers the reset worked finnly ok how to get it to work after you keep taping yes and the screen fades away wait wait wait dont know for how long maybe 30secs to 1 min and then try to turn the gps on and see if it worked the wait time is needed the gps screen only fades off not relly turning off so its still trying to reset and if ya just click the power again it stops the reset ok g-o cashers since after the reset its still 2.40 should i go back to version before untill they fix it and how can i do this

Thanks for all the Info. I inss talled 2.4, rebootet the device --> ok Then I loaded 4 GPX-files with (about 1550 caches) on the oregon, as I do every week (no waipoint-files). After that, the Oregon did not boot (Garmin logo appears, but then the display faded out). I tried to restore the firmware as you decribed, but that did not work. I get an error Message from the updater, after the oregon reboos (displaying "Loading waypoints,....") with the same problem: display fades out.... gh my gps is dead unless i can get the master reset i guess my gps is dead cached today with the update updated my gpx files before comeing home was away to get a new cache on the list and the gps was dead after loading the new caches i tryed the master reset as said its not leting me click the yes button any help ?? do i tap it hold the button maybe to work? bad bad garmin i just got this oregon week ago exchanged it for a colorado that was like the 1st batch lucky i got it at rei easy exchange maybe on the wiki put in big txt and stuff for ppl not to update or strong warning not to

on colorado 300 when updateing it asked me something when starting up new software found the software is older the..(cuts off ) an your current softwar...(cuts of) no yes thats what it looked like i guess and clicked yes like yes i whant the new software but it rebooted my gps and whent to comp mode restarted it unpluged and my profile setting had changed software version still had 2.54 so i am trying to reupdate clicking no worked says i have 2.60 now sad thing is it reset my odomater and all the stats there

dont know if this is the right aera but here it is and also if its been asked its hard right now to search the forums my net is only working on half speed so if ya know of the topic just link it if ya ddont mind ty for Wherigo geocaches it i just noticed a Wherigo geocache on my gps didnt know and was a hr away i can go bk easy but it be nice with my pq that the cart chould be downloaded also then u whould see it in ur zip file right now it whouldnt add alot of space since theres not tons of wherigos maybe have it where the owner can upload the cart on geocache page or something so it gets in the pq maybe something so u can pick that u whant the carts or make it if ya click that u whant Wherigo caches u get that also this whould be a bigggg help i think to see it in the zip file

got the 300 have had mine for awile and got the update i dont belive the battery is all fixed had some other problems

ohh monkeybrad help me firgure this out and the other puzzle ones around here lol or make a meeting to help on sloveing ur puzzle and lost boy puzzle caches hopefully a meeting closer to giles that sounds scarry for solving the puzzle portion of the cache sounds like that means its a hard find also once ur at the location ya im wondering what that audit log thing iis

your so lucky your not close to it unfortally i live only 1hr or so away and theres ones close by the same people i cant seem to get all these puzzle ones nearby

right i know about that but in the explorist 500 when ya go into menu pts of interest and then geocaches ya see a list of ur geocaches then ya hit menu and show foulnd cache u can see the time stamp of when ya foulnd it and thats what i whant but be able to show all my found ones on 1 list
