  1. Email sent: 29 April 2011 Name received: 14 May 2011 Outgoing mission sent: 17 May 2011 Incoming mission rcvd: If the "fuzzie" seeking list is updated, then I hope this mission will bring a smile when it arrives!
  2. Updating my status for this mission! Email sent: 29 April 2011 Name received: 14 May 2011 Outgoing mission sent: Incoming mission rcvd: Per Team Luvbassn's request below, I have sent them the name of who I am to send my mission to. Another coiner who loves KISS missions - awesome. I have already selected the coins and my mission will go out in the next day or so. I will update my progress here!
  3. Yes, there is a chance. Looking at a possible November start. And that's all I'm going to say for now Tease.
  4. While they were relaxing, they heard strange sounds. They looked around, and spotted a group of Celtic Turtles that seemed to have lost their way.
  5. My butterfly hasn't moved since October 2010 - I think it may have been caught in the winter months! Ruud4d: Lucky bastard seems about right to me.
  6. I've updated mileage for both my racers and those of my sister, Echo Echo. In a couple of instances, I did send polite, brief notes to the holder of the racing coins, asking if they might be able to place it sometime soon? I have the feeling some of these folks have already been contacted, so no real hope...just going through the motions. One of my racers had a real shot at winning number of geocachers, but it was only recently picked up after sitting for a while. Oh well...it was a fun nail-biter till it wasn't! Thank you SOOOO much for organizing this year's race, Shilo. Any chance of there being a PGR VI? I just like punishing myself.
  7. If the person who had the trackable has already logged his find a the cache, then I'd agree with GregsonVaux: grab it from the previous holder, drop it off (or dip it) into the cache in which you found it to keep the mileage, and then retrieve it (if you didn't dip it) so the coin owner(s) know you now have it. No doubt they will be pleased to see it's moving again, if they've not completely given up on it! I remember reading somewhere in the forums that some geocachers are not logging coins in caches in the hopes of keeping them in circulation. I don't know if that's the case here, but it is an interesting idea. While this does have the chance of messing up mileage and cache visits, it does prevent those individuals who target cache with trackables with the intention of keeping pretty, shiny things. Before I get a nasty-tram, I know that there are cachers out there who seek out caches with trackables so that they can help move them - you cachers are GREAT! It's the other 1% of unscrupulous users of gc.com who target caches for less-than-honorable reasons that motivate some geocachers to keep coin placements a secret.
  8. This makes me sad that the race is nearly over. However, I am VERY happy to see that Shilo survived the worst tornado outbreak in the southeastern US. Yay, Shilo!
  9. I'm in for this mission, and I've asked for a KISS mission: a card and the two coins. It's been a while since I've had the pleasure of experiencing the simplicity of a card/coin mission. Email sent: 29 April 2011 Name received: Outgoing mission sent: Incoming mission rcvd:
  10. I was afraid of that. Last caching and posting activity was about a month ago, so perhaps overseas at the moment? At least a nice package will be waiting, and that's bound to be a nice homecoming!
  11. I was checking on a few of my trackables to see how my racers were doing in the Premier Geocoin RAce V. I was happy to see some movement from one of the very first geocoins I sent into the world: TB2CBRE This coin was first marked as "not in the cache" in August 2009, and the cache was in New Mexico. In May 2010, the cache owner marked it missing, and I then I posted a note for it after trying to do some follow-up research by going through the electronic logs for the New Mexico geocache. I figured it was gone, but then a geocacher found it in a geocache in Colorado in Sept 2010! Who knows how many caches it went through before then?! This geocacher was gracious enough to log it into the cache in which he/she found it, to at least get the mileage started again. This cacher moved it along quickly - this should always be appreciated, especially since I have quite a few "pay it forward" coins that I need to get moving! - and it sat in a cache until just this month when it was picked up by a 10-day-old geocacher. I hope it continues to move! So, I guess this coin really came back to life at the end of 2010, but considering it has only moved twice in over 18 months, I'll post it here as a story of just how patient we geocoin owners need to be, not to mention hopeful that coins sometimes resurface!
  12. One of each, and an extra of one to send travelling! Thank you for designing these lovely gems.
  13. I'd like to offer a plug for some pictures of the missions. When this mission first started, it was loads of fun to see how the 10 coins changed from person to person. A photo of what you received with the coins would be nice, too, not to mention provide those who have yet to receive the mission an idea of what they might include. At the very least, a picture of the coins you had to choose from and then the coins that you are sending on for the next person to choose from. Pictures of the coins borrowed from websites are a good approximation, but there's something about seeing the entire complement of coins - a group shot if you will. The fact that EyeD10T included a trackable coin with this mission makes sharing pictures here a bit easier than other missions. After you grab the coin, you can use your "grabbed from" log on gc.com to upload your photos. Your pictures will then have their own URL links that you can then use to post here to the forums. It's really easy, and I'm sure any of us here would be happy to help out as well. Unless you don't have a camera or a working camera, sharing pictures with this mission couldn't be easier.
  14. Nearly over? It can't be! I'm hoping my coin that is in the running for most geocachers will get a significant boost during these next couple of weeks, as the low mileage wouldn't necessarily help me in a tie-breaker! C'mon last-minute movement!
  15. And only one stop before me! @LewisClan77 - do you have a seeking list? I want to make sure I can "trade up or trade even" to your liking!
  16. Alfalfa Apple Almond I have no experience with rabbits. Perhaps my choices reflect this?!
  17. Momentum is GOOD! Only one more stop and then my turn. I'm looking forward to seeing this arrive, and REALLY looking forward to sending it off again! No travel plans for me for the next months or so, so I's ready and waiting...
  18. Reservations, please! This was such a great reservation design from the start, and I reservation was so happy when you took it over reservation. The original reservation metal and color combinations were reservation fun and festive. I'm eagerly awaiting reservation the new versions reservation. Besides, armadillos get reservation no love. Reservations, please!
  19. I agree that would be a good theme, would the TB have to be a real travel bug or would a travel tag or cachekinz work? Or an activated geocoin? Yeah, I'm one of those crazy folks who activates and sends them away. Of course, the activated geocoin would be in addition to the unactivated coin for the mission recipient.
  20. The design of the sun reminds me a LOT of the Tribal Sun geocoins: I know it's not exactly the same, but they strike me as very similar. The shaped coin doesn't remind me of the Tribal Sun coins at all, so if you can stick with that I think you're on the right path to having a more unique coin. Just my opinion, of course!
  21. Sign-up: 21 February 2011 Name received: 21 March 2011 Package sent: Today, 7 April 2011 - I hope the recipient likes it! Package received: 1 April 2011 Thanks for organizing this mission, Firefly03, and happy easter everyone!
  22. Still looking for this lovely gem. Anyone up for a trade? Pretty please?
