  1. Just another day of SNOW and it does not look good. Rain here in the Bend and snow up the road MtnMutt
  2. This link will help in your decision to go or not. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/passes/snoqualmie/ As you see the Pass is still closed this morning. The Cameras are helpful. I would say to anyone thinking about this Hike into the APE.. Do Not Attempt! At this time. Just getting to the Parking area is a problem, this area is not being Plowed, but the roadways are used by a bunch of Snowmobiles. MtnMutt
  3. Hmmm... OK, Rainier is a fun hike, unless you go via Camp Hazard or unauthorized Willis Wall. Now, first do you want to rush up or nice easy venture and have fun? RMI can rush you then drop you if you are not prepared. That's money out the door. Do you want to get in shape? Remember you do not run up a mountain, it is one rest step at a time. Now, here's a suggestion from someone who has spend 40 years hiking/climbing all over the place. My favorite work out is Mt Si, fine a comfortable pack [internal frame]. Save yourself 4-8 plastic 1 gallon milk containers including lids. Start with 1-2, just to gain your strength. As you feel comfortable with that weight add 1 more. Do Mt Si once a week but during the week go for a walk every day with the same weight as what you are going to do Mt Si. No less than 2 hours. Now this may sound crazy but you can do it. Keep this up until you can do all the containers up Mt Si to the Haystack and back to Parking lot in 2 hours 30 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. WAIT DON'T PANIC!! You empty the containers at the top! Yes, you can just push yourself. No Pain, No Gain! Just keep telling yourself you can do it. Do Not Cheat, do your work out everyday even if it is pouring outside or the weather is beautiful. Good luck on your adventure, you will enjoy it if you are in shape and ready. Find a class such as Mountaineers course to understand safety and the in & out of self arrest. Go out now and learn to be in the cold. Turn that car heater off so you acclimate yourself to the cold, once your step outside it will not feel cold to you. MtnMutt
  4. If I meet you at Mickey'D's", could you place new logs at: GCJDAH - Rainey Creek GCJDAG - Falls 215 GCJDAM - Pole Hole You should have a great adventure even if it is damp outside It's about time to change these logs out and too many things going on. Thanks in advance, MtnMutt

  6. It has no ability unless you get a third party software and it only let you know where a friend is near by. It uses Cell Tower Triangulation not Orbital GPS System.
  7. Ahhh... Another piece of Space Junk, that got tried of staying in Orbit. This should be a fun one to investigate. Has anyone spotted Chicken Little yet? MtnMutt
  8. Well... at last the Adoption Papers have been signed, sealed and delivered. Top of Teneriffe - a Traditional was officially adopted on 09-21-2007. Thanks to all in their assistance in completing the task. The first to find will find a eMusic card for 100 free downloads and second to find is a Simpson's 'Are We There, Yet?' Watch. Thanks,,, MtnMutt
  9. So, what I'm seeing is no one is interested in helping. OK Thanks, MtnMutt
  10. I have placed a 5/5 Cache and have been working on the 16 levels of Encryption and Ciphers for sometime. I'm in need of a Team member or members with extreme Wizardry of HTML, who really want to show off their talents to the World. When the cache page is published, all will stare in disbelieve and total amazement, that a Team could put something like this together. It will Boggle the minds of members, others will follow or copy, but this will be the original Masterpiece... Your Masterpiece! Let the Auditions begin.... only your imagination is your limit. Once you see what you'll be working with ... it may become the next Kryptos Sculpture. MtnMutt Thank to U for the Cray time.
  11. I'm justing waiting for the overworked Slaves to finalize my adoption of Top of Teneriffe (TNAB) by TNAB hiking group (GCJGBC). The owner e-mail me he started the adoption paperwork. But we must remember that overworked, need vacations, warm meals and time to just put the feet up on the desk and kick back for some relaxing time. Watch out... I hear the Frog has ordered a Cat of Nine Tails and know how to use it.
  12. Do you really want to know? It's very simple, the material is not to expenses, shoot me an e-mail and I'll walk you through the process. We don't want everyone to know.
  13. Well, if any of you want to do something special along the way. I have a small task for you. I have 3 caches along the way and they each need a new IMPRESSHIN Log. These are special built logs and any of you happen have stumbled upon one knows what I mean. GCJDAH - Rainey Creek GCJDAG - Falls 215 GCJDAM - Pole Hole Be the first to leave your small impression. Just let me know.... MtnMutt
  14. Thank you and please keep up the great work. MtnMutt
  15. Well, good luck to all. My wife was diagnosed in May and June she under went Surgery. Both were removed, then in July she started Chemo. I have been watching her and working from home 2 days a week. Every Chemo session I'm there with her, every Doctor appointment I'm there. I'm just there to support her. The Doctors did an amazing thing. They suggested I get out and do something than work, race home, take care of her and do nothing for myself. It took numerous talks with her Doctors to get me to do something. So September 8, I set out to fix Teneriffe Cache and burn out a lot of pinned up emotions. Once I got home I tried to do things around the house and help her. All she wanted to know was how did my day go and did I find what I was looking for, and made me dinner instead of me cooking. What a woman. Please hope you goals were met and more men step up to support a great cause. MtnMutt
