  1. When my cursor is above a cache in MapQuest, the name shows up. Clicking on the name gives me more info. This is good. When i click on a cache in CloudMade or MapQuest Aerial or OpenStreetMap or OpenCycleMap, nothing happens. This is bad. Am i doing something wrong? Is this a bug that will be fixed? Is this how it will stay? Thanks.
  2. Help! My maps(google and the other one) do not show any caches! I am logged in under my name. Update: I clicked through the same screens multiple times. After about the tenth time the caches showed up. So i no longer need to panic.
  3. I use 60CSx. I want to see compass with the large arrow + distance to go + accuracy.
  4. Needs Maintenance-log also goes to the Reviewer, right? It is also flagged so that others notice there might be a problem with it.
  5. Check out the forums at http://www.ncgeocachers.org/ You are more likely to contact an NC cacher there.
  6. 1) I carry mine in my hand while walking. If i have to climb a tree or cross a creek and have my hands free, i clip the GPSr to my belt. 2) Why do you need the backlight on immediately? As soon as it is on and searching for the satellites, tap the power button and the light will go on. 3) I have carried it in my hand in a rain without any problems, but i would not leave it out for long.

Make sure you roll the log tightly and insert it in the top part.
  8. You can not get 100+ finds in a day if each one has 10+ stages and you have to walk 0.1+ miles for each. When i started caching almost ten years ago, i considered it a great day if i walked five miles and found three caches. On the other hand, i get a little cranky if i spend several hours on a multi just to fail on the final stage.
  9. Add to your cache description that the cache is not a film can, so people who might find one can pick it up as trash.
  10. Yoohoo :-) I don't think it is possible at the moment, ... OK ignore that, and try this: Geocaching.com - Image map scale Works for me THANK YOU! You are my current Favorite Person.
  11. I have exactly the same problem. Also, my maps do do not show street names. Also, if i wait for more than 15 min, all my "found" caches on the page turn green (have not found yet).

how are you? Hur mår du? what is your name? Vad heter du?
  13. Ainakin saksalaisilla ja hollantilaisilla kätköilijöillä tuntuu olevan vakavia puutteita joko lukutaidossa tai luetun ymmärtämisessä. Aiemmin olenkin jo kommentoinut kolikkojeni päätymisistä em kansallisuuksia edustavien kätköilijöiden toimesta aivan muualle kuin oli tarkoitus ja jälkeen eilen tuli yksi esimerkki lisää: Hollantiin ehtinyt Alpeille matkaava kolikkoni on loggauksen mukaan seuraavaksi matkalla mahdollisesti Egyptiin! Kolikon kuvauksessa ja kolikon mukana matkaavassa lapussa on kyllä selkeästi englanniksi ilmoitettu matkan kohteeksi Alpit, mutta nämä keskisen Euroopan sankarit eivät tunnu toiveista piittaavan. No, näkevätpähän kolikot ainakin maailmaa... Mista tiedat etta joku Egyptissa asuva tai siella vieraileva ei ole seuraavaksi menossa Alpeille?
  14. You will have better luck posting this in the forum for Spain.

How about you post phrases you would like to learn?
  16. How about the biggest TB that you can actually pick up and move? I've seen a car tire.
  17. Sorry this is of no help to you, but at times all the caches on the map appear green to me, even the ones i have already found. Increasing/decreasing the map size does not help. Looking at a cache page, clicking on the nearest caches link, mapping these does not help. I have to completely log out of gc.com and try again.
  18. The number geocaching.com puts on the page is the latest total count. So every time you log a new cache, that number increases.
  19. Do not use an ink pen that runs when the paper gets wet.

Co-ords are GIVEN in WGS84 format, but can you not convert them to some other format and then use those?
  21. Don't expect it to stay that way. And don't expect the quality of the swag to stay the same after more than just a handful of cachers.
  22. Your drug store might not know the name bison tube. There are other similar ones that are intended for pills, particularly for nitro.
  23. Would you be able to maintain all the stages? I guess in Europe where countries are smaller and closer to each other this would be possible.
  24. How do you know who's been reading your logs? I really would like to know. What kind of personal info do you provide? That you will be out of town caching all weekend and that all your valuables are in the freezer?
