geocaching.com does not show European caches on a map. I know there is another site that does. I used to have the address but lost it. Can anybody help? Thanks.

WOW - only about 140 caches in all of Finland. I never realized how good I have it - 80 caches within 25 km of my house (and that's with living on the beach so there's nothing but water on one side). Finland is so full of beautiful nature there really should be more caches there.

I'm looking for help from cachers in southern NC, TN, or northern GA, SC, AL. I'm trying to complete a cache (Where's in a name?): http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?pf=&ID=12627&decrypt=y&log= I convert my name to coordinates, get someone else to go to that spot, he/she will take a picture of his/her GPSr showing the coords, post the picture, and both people get credit for a find. My name (finninfla) translates to 34°32.635. If I use that for latitude north, it should be somewhere south of Charlotte or south of Memphis. Longitude does not matter. Don't just click on "save as jpg/jpeg". Make sure you type in .jpg after the name.

I know avatar problems have been addressed in the past, I read them all. Yet not one of them gave me the answer I needed. That is why I started a new thread. If you are tired of us clueless newbies you do not have to open anything that has the word avatar in it, right?

It suddenly appeared from nowhere! It even got attached to all my old postings. How weird. It's a miracle. Thank you all for your help. Too bad i now want to change the picture.

The picture is saved as .jpg The size is about 3.09 KB. If you check my page the picture is on the left. I have logged out and logged in, turned the computer off and on numerous times. Why do I still not get picture???

I logged out and logged in... My "htnl is off". Should it be on? How?

Both are set to the same picture.

The picture shows up on my info page now, but not on messages. What do I do?

I seem to be the only one who can not figure this out: How do you attach the avatar to your postings? I think I have created one, but now I don't know what to do with it. I read through 189 postings of avatars they all were other people's tests. Thank You all.

Before you put an item in the cache, ask yourself: 1) would I leave this item if somebody was watching? 2) would I leave this item if I had to put my name on it?

I am sure this question has already been asked and answered, but I could not find it anywhere. If I am in the middle of the woods or something and told to go to GC9482, what am I supposed to do with that info? Is the address to that point supposedly stored in my gps (eTrex Summit)? Or do I need to get the coordinates before I leave the computer? Thank You all.
