  1. Howdy, I'm Ginger! and cache with my stepsister, Mocha! and the bipedal known as Chuy!. Even though I was with him for his first cache, he has some 6K more than me. He must take this pretty seriously. We hit the trail every Sunday morning and in between. I love the water including snow. I turned five this year and hope to be hitting the trails for a long time to come. Come say hi if you're ever in Diego. With my buddy Max. Ummm, snow.
  2. Hi, yodadog! I've never told you this, but you're my geocaching hero! Your logs inspired me to look beyond the cache and avoid the cutting and pasting, even if my bipedal handler gets lazy and does it. If you're ever down in Diego, look us up; I'll have some Cheweez waiting for you. --Ginger!
  3. Wait till they start asking for their own GPS'; better start a GPS saving's account.
  4. Come hang out with me and I'll show you all the water holes in San Diego County. I'll also show you how to handle them pesky cachers and how to tell when they're going out on a hike or them annoying drive-ups. Maybe in a couple of years you'll get a cool sister like I did. Cya on the trail ...
  5. Anyone want to adopt my Anza Borrego coin? Will pay for shipping.
  6. If I were to find a cache, which I am fully capable of doing, the search would be over and me and my bipedal handler would be headed to the car after the find. I'd rather let him circle around scratching his head so I can explore the area a bit.

    GeoCoins?

They are travel bugs except that most geocoins have their own icon. They will be listed individually in your stat page and look cool next to their image. Some cachers will go out of their way to a cache just for the chance of including the coin image in their stat page. The general rule of thumb is you can log it if you touch it. Unfortunately, there are some cachers that email each other the coin #s just for the image. Here is a partial listing off my stat page: Postal coin Evil Micro coin World of Geocaching coin UK coin Cache or Die Trying coin POW/MIA coin Bad Andy coin Groovin' Caching coin
  8. Find a rattlesnake avoidance course in your area. My handler takes me every two years.
  9. I'm not telling my bipedal companion where the cache is - that's his job! I'm out to have a good time. The quicker he finds the cache, the sooner we leave - forget that!
  10. I got a Red Jeep and Chuy! didn't - ha ha ha.
  11. NakedMuttDog sounds like a good caching name
  12. A Dog's journal: 7 am - Oh boy! A walk! My favorite! Maybe a cache too. 8 am - Oh boy! Dog food! My favorite! 9 am - Oh boy! The kids! My favorite! Noon - Oh boy! The yard! My favorite 2 pm - Oh boy! A car ride! My favorite! Maybe another cache. 3 pm - Oh boy! The kids! My favorite! 4 pm - Oh boy! Playing ball! My favorite! 6 pm - Oh boy! Welcome home Mom! My favorite! 7 pm - Oh boy! Welcome home Dad! My favorite! 8 pm - Oh boy! Dog food! My favorite! 9 pm - Oh boy! Tummy rubs on the couch! My favorite! 11 pm - Oh boy! Sleeping in my people's bed! My favorite! A Cat's Diary: Day 783 of my captivity. My captors continued to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from clawing the furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant. Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded. Maybe I should try this at the top of the stair. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair. I must try this on their bed. Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little kitty cat I was. This is not working according to plan. There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More important, I overheard that my confinement was due to my powers of inducing something called "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage. I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He speaks with them regularly, and I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait. It's only a matter of time...

  14. Okey dokey.....I'll be at the Steele Bridge at 0630 sharp. I'll call my mom for our Sunday morning chat a tad early..they'll be up! If there is still seating available for one Human and one K9 cacher; Piglit9 and I are in, or even if not I will be at the bridge about 06:30 also and we can drive over to the start point. WOOOOHOOOOO 1st post!!!! ;) There be plenty of room; Chuy! says I will like Piglit9.
  15. Don't be bashful asking for help. I lot of us have there! Are you having problems getting the GPS to guide you? Or, entering the coords? I use the loc files and have no trouble getting them into my Legend CX using the app geocaching swiss army knife through Guest PC running windows XP or 98. ( I am a Mac user) I get to the location the GPS tells me its at, but just never find it. So far I have looked for Hide a park and Not another Altoid Tin #8 here in the 91913 area. I guess I just need help once I am there on what to look for. I would like to find a good free app to try on the Mac to upload the caches to my GPSr with the Mac if anyone has any advice on that. The PC emulation is fine, but I would like to not use it except to upload mapsource maps. Something on this webpage may help out with your Mac; it was put together by Parsa, a cacher in North County. Even though the Not Another Altoid Tin series is rated 1.5 stars, it can be a tough one for a new cacher. Once you find it, you wont miss another one. Containers are in plain sight; you just gotta try and move things around; email me if you need more help. I haven't found Hide-a-Park; so, can't help you there.

  18. Thanks Ginger! I need to teach my dog Lacey how to type! This is Lacey. She likes to wear sunglasses! Typing is below me; I dictate! Hi Lacey.
