  1. I have a Mac :/ I already have a premium account. There is no way to do this from the site then? Shame!
  2. It would be great if I could tick a load of caches and send them all to my Garmin in one go. Does this functionality exist? If not, it would be an excellent addition.
  3. Brilliant! Thank you so much! It just gets better and better
  4. So, my Oregon 400t came - and I love it. Some weird things to get used to, but so much nicer than my previous ridiculous setup. Yes, the screen is dim, but I'm holding it in my hand so I don't care I was surprised to find it was not rechargeable and didn't include batteries, but it's not a big deal. It seems very very accurate. I love being able to send caches to it straight from the site, and ALL the info is there! I can log caches as found or not found, but this doesn't seem to feed back into geocaching.com - and then, I don't know how it would without some kind of conduit. So, I am finding them, and manually logging my finds when I get home, using the 400t as reference. Does anyone know of a way to automate this?
  5. Just found out the Oregon 400t is delayed till October I will have to wait. I was hoping to try geodashing too.
  6. This has all been really helpful, thank you. The Oregon 400t isn't out in the UK for a few days, so I'll pick one up then. Thank you so much
  7. I see the Colorado does some geocaching specific stuff the Oregon does not. But the Oregon is better? Are these screens not too helpful? Also, I see buttons for "log visit" - how does the Oregon get internet access?
  8. Beautiful Everyone seems to be agreeing with eachother! One more vote for the 400t anyone? Thanks so much for your help.
  9. I'm happy to go high-end! Is the 400t the dog's danglies or complete overkill for someone like me?
  10. I've been messing with geocaching for ages, but typically in cities or urban areas. I don't do much in the way of serious hiking or biking. I have a few bluetooth GPS units, and tried several J2ME apps for geocaching which were all okay. I have a Tom Tom 730T for the car, which is great. I've now come into some cash. I want a box, dedicated, just for geocaching. One with as many geocaching specific functions as possible, but other than that, I don't really know what I want - and reading this forum just makes my ears bleed I don't want to get too technical. I want to find some geocaches on geocaching.com, throw them into a device somehow, and then find them as accurately as possible and paperless. I don't mind having the ability to see maps, and go hiking, and things like that, but typically I just want to drive somewhere, walk for an hour or two with the kids, and find a geocache too. If it could connect to the internet with my phone to get new ones on the fly, that would be pretty great. I live in the UK, and use a mac - if that makes any difference. Is there a nice simple - "just buy this one" answer? I'm guessing not. Help!
  11. Hi all After doing a multicache that gave me coordinates in Degrees Minutes Decimal and discovering that my phone software only accepts coordinates in Degrees Decimal - I decided to write my own application for my phone (in Java) to convert between them. I've set it now so that you can convert between: Degrees Minutes Seconds Degrees Minutes Decimal Degrees Decimal You can also set the amount of decimal places (up to 20) to use. I would really appreciate being told of any bugs in the application, though I don't believe there are any! Famous last words... Also, is this the appropriate place to post this? I use a Sony Ericssion K800i, the SPOT application, and a Holux GPSlim236 Bluetooth GPS receiver. I also use the fantastic and free Nav4all software to navigate in my car. I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest way to achieve full geocaching capability! I really hope my software is of use to someone else - and if anyone else has suggestions on how to improve the application I'm very open to them! Get it here: Coordinates Calculator 0.9
  12. I've tried Nav4All - and it's great as a free piece of software - but I cannot find a way to accurately enter co-ordinates... I can't enter decimal places for example. Am I missing something? A
