I've spent today dealing with one of my ammo cans going missing from Ilkley moor. I doubt people will be as bothered by the new container though, it is now small tupperware. I will remove references to ammo boxes after reading this, as it seems as though this isnt isolated.

A drop of topic, but when you get to Leeds, if you come down the Aire valley form the Dales towards Leeds on the Leeds Liverpool Canal, make sure you pay a visit to St. Ives at N53.84, W001.85. It is regarded as the local caching holy grail with 20+ caches in a small area.

Any chance we could have a minibus from Harrogate station to the event, it would make lives considerably easier.

Im considering getting a gps60 standard, but the garmin website doesnt explian what exactly the 'geocaching function' does. Is it just a gloryfied waypoint system, or does it store cache info and logs etc, so i can paperless cache without a PDA.

I will be in the Docklands area of London for a day next week, does anyone know caches that are woth visitng, possible around the Tate Modern/St. Pauls or Greenwich. Thanks

I am considering getting memory map 1:50000 northern england edition, is this the right move for geocaching, or should i be looking at the 1:25000 version instead??

From a UK perspective here, my explorer group has taken up geocaching in the last few month, we have a cache we acitvley maintain in the local woodland, and find that it covers most of the UK programme areas
