I just received a Garman GPSMAP 60CSX has a gift. What type of mapping software would be best for travel in the United States and Geocaching? What would be the best store to buy this software? Thanks

I would like to have opinions’ on what is the best entry level GPS receiver for my 11 year old Son to start out with in Geocaching. I have a GARMAN GPS 12 XL that I use which is dated but it might be easer for me to tech him if he had a GARMAN since the menus may be similar. But any brand that you all think would be easy for him to learn please share with me. Thanks

A friend of mine is offering to sell me his Garmin GPS 12XL for $75.00. I don't want to spend a lot of money to get started in this. Is it worth it for me to buy this unit to get started in Geocaching or do I need to save my money and wait for a better deal? I do know that this model does not have WASP is that a big deal with it not having that? Thanks for any information you all can give. Gregg
