  1. Uhh, you can. There's still a link in the upper-right that says "Back to original maps" You can even get a PQ to show on the old maps with a little URL manipulation. What do you mean URL manipulation. Can you explain? I bookmarked in IE my map preview URL and use that extensively- even since the new maps came out. But if I click "Map preview" now in my current PQs, I either get the (IMO) unhelpful bubbles that you can not click OR opt for the "Original map" which does not filter for my PQ. Thanks in advance!
  2. I would like to add my thanks for your selfless contribution to our little society! I really enjoyed the site. Good luck to you!
  3. I have a Magellan 500 and am slowly getting full use of it's features as I learn more. Purchased a Li-on battery and charger that I received. Took out the AAA cradle and put in the Li-on battery. Feel embarrased asking this question: how do I recharge the battery? The adapter plugs into the wall and has a male plug with a yellow rim- smaller than my laptop adapter but looks similar. Where does that plug into my GPS? I see no visible port both on the GPS or the battery itself? Help this goober, please! Second, when connected to the PC- I can put it in file transfer mode or "power by the PC mode". When in the latter, I am not wearing down the battery right? Is it recharging the battery as well? I have been very happy with accuracy- can track satellites quickly (though after reading this thread will upgrade the firmware- thank you). Adding POIs is easy and I am getting the hang of downloading. I like the fact I can download my bookmarks ("Today's Caches", "Caches for my Jersey trip") and then switch to that list. Can I batch delete old POIs selectively- kind of CTRL-click the ones I want to delete but not all of them?
  4. There is a pretty good Roanoke area Geocache group- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/roanokevageocaching/join Post a note there- maybe someone would adopt.
  5. Small mirror on a handle for looking under things, in hidey holes, etc.
  6. From Geocache Manager, select Open>select the file on your desktop. Before you click "Open" check the box at the bottom that says "Append to Existing List". (The default is "Open as a new list".) Then click "Open". Hope that helps.
