  1. My son had a travel tag picked up from a cache on 05/24/2010. On 08/18/2010 with no movement on travel tag an email was sent to the cacher that picked it up "Hi. Hope all is well. I am sending this email ton ask when you will be able to leave (travel tag name) in a cache so it can continue it's travels. You picked it up 05/24/2010 at '(cache name) Any help you can give would be nice" his reply "Hey sorry had so long! Have a night cache hidden and been in process of stages to it. Shouldn't be too much longer sorry it's been so long!" OK I can understand this. On 09/6/2010 I noticed he is finding caches at a very fast rate, Another email was sent to him "Hope this email find you well. I am looking forward to you getting that night cache squared away and you have time to move 'travel tag name' to another cache so it can travel around again.Happy Caching," Did not get a reply. On 09/23/2010 again noticed he is still finding many caches but not dropping off my son travel tag, sent email. His reply was "Sooo sorry it's been so long! I'm working on nightcache, the cache itself is hidden been busy working alot. Trying to get the stages completed! Will try get it finished asap!". On 12/11/2010 my son send email "When are you going to put my (trackablename) Travel Bug, to a cache? If you are not then could help me understand why? You got it on 05/24/2010. Looks like you enjoy geocaching. You need to let me enjoy my travel bug moving from cache to cache.". It could be this email was a little to much to the point. However he has found over 400 caches from when he picked up the travel tag. Then on 12/13/2010 he hides a cache and puts my son's travel tag in the cache's inventory. He also put in 16 other trackables in this cache that he retrieved from 04/17/2010 to 05/30/2010. I do not know if he talked to the other tag owners to see if he could hold the tags for half a year. So is there anything that can be done so this cacher will not do something like this again? What can I do..?
  2. I still need help. Geowoodstock VIII was July 3, today, today Sept 8 there is 658 trackables still in the event cache. Why? 'Send Message' through geocaching.com to host on Aug 10 and have not get a reply.
  3. What is the reason to log travel tags into an event caches. Who has possession of the tags? I still do not know the process.
  4. I have two trackables that have been logged in two different Event caches ie they are in the cache inventory. One event was for Saturday, 03 July 2010 and the other was Saturday, 17 July 2010. Both event caches have many many trackables in their log. I don't understand what is happening. Why are they still there? What will happen to these trackables? Will they be put back in caches where all of us can enjoy them and move them from cache to cache?

  6. My son is setting up a cache, his first. Plugged everything Geocaching.com. It is still in the review queue. We checked his latitude and longitude on bing maps before we set up cache and all looked great. Now however on google maps with his latitude and longitude it shows the wrong side of the road. Why is google and bing different? Went to itouchmap.com and it is the same as bing and our gpsr. What should we do?
  7. what about 'Geocaching can only be cured by a many, many changes in latitude and longitude'
