ArkansasBugman replied to Pilot In Command's topic in General geocaching topics
I just picked up a geocoin in a cache that originated in Germany! Cool! It has logged over 7000 miles on it! -
I am looking for cache log sheets and the cards that intorduce geocaching in case someone finds it that isn't geocaching. Thanks for the help.

Sportrak Map Stress Cracks.
ArkansasBugman replied to SBPhishy's topic in GPS technology and devices
I got an RA # from Magellan on March 23 and shipped my Sportrak Map on the 25th. On April 2 i received a brand new Sportrak Map, PC cable andprotective case with belt mount. Seems like good customer service to me. -
We could always have it in the area of Bitbrains 4x4 cache and my Nightime cache. It's could be the first nightime CITO!

I have a new Palm Zire 21. How do i get the data from Groundspeak and onto the Palm using Cachemate?

That's true Lil' Buggirl was a distraction for Bitbrain. Maybe I should rule it a tie. Besides a team of two does have an advantage over a lone Bitbrain that's hiding in the woods scaring little girls!

Poll for the next MEMPHIS Geovent.
ArkansasBugman replied to ChrisCindy's topic in South and Southeast
I'm good for the whole day. Cache me in. -
I was there tonight and it was plenty dark by 6:00 PM. So I'll get there before 6:00 on Friday. The starting point is in the same area as the parking area for Bitbrain's 4X4 cache. I'll be there from about dark-thirty til about 9:00.

I've submitted a nighttime only cache for approval. I'm not going to make it available until the night of Oct. 31st. It's called "Nighttime Bughunt Multicache". I'll be at the cache starting point on the night of the 31st when I release this cache. I'll have hot chocolate and goodies for all the first to finders. Sort of an informal Geo-gathering. I wonder who will be first to find? Maybe Mustard Devil is already there in the river bottoms waiting to get it first! Can anybody else make it?

SE Cache me if you can NW Buddhas Cache?
ArkansasBugman replied to ArkansasBugman's topic in South and Southeast
Hey, I'm doing a rain dance here. All the swamps are low right now. Not enough mudholes for my Quad. I've got the big mud tires on the Suzuki and It's one bad cache machine.I'm ready to go after this cache. BTW: CWL has found the elusive original "Center Field Cache" -
Cracker Barrel has them for $4.99.

SE Cache me if you can NW Buddhas Cache?
ArkansasBugman replied to ArkansasBugman's topic in South and Southeast
I'm not trying to start anything. It's just that I'm a cache addict and I can't wait for my next fix. Also after Bitbrain moved CWL's Cordova Multi ammo can I went and changed the padlock to a combination lock. I'll trade the combination for all the coordinates to all the puzzle caches.LOL -
I need closure! First we had no puzzle multi-caches in the Memphis area. Now we have three partially done. This has been going on so long I don't even know what i've done with some of the answers. I think puzzle cache/multi's should not be posted until all components are complete and in place. Or at least have a set timeframe to be released. Just my 2 cents. Sorry to be *itching! I just get this way sometimes when I have to work and can't go caching. Later Bugman [This message was edited by ArkansasBugman on August 26, 2003 at 10:46 AM.]

Skunked by your own cache?
ArkansasBugman replied to Renegade Knight's topic in General geocaching topics
Yep, had it happen to me also on this cache:Center Field This cache is a micro hidden in a green termite baiting system station inserted in the ground, level with the surface in the middle of a field . It was not too hard to find in January when I placed it. But it's hard to find a 4 inch green disk in a field of clover in July. I'm sure it's still there I just can't find it. So I put another one out. But I painted it blaze orange first. Also i'm giving bonus points to whoever finds the green one first. -
It looks like we've lost our number one cacher in the Memphis area. See his post here:Fairlane Cache He has archived all his caches, even the classic virtual The Grotto. This really knocks down the number of caches in the Memphis area. MD we'll miss you. Bugman
