Apple Safari / Big Sur update
humboldt flier replied to humboldt flier's topic in General geocaching topics
Hi my Mendo friend. Big Sur is the newest upgrade to Safari ... some have reported "buggines" with it. Geo-Huggzzzzzz to you and yours ... be safe. -
Curious: Anyone experiencing this bit of fun? While on cache page and going to larger map ... after selecting browse caches the special love note which appears is; "Safari is unable to find browser". Is this a special gift from Apple or is there an issue between GC.com / Safari. As an aside this headache does not occur when working through Firefox.

Your comments have eased a lot of angst. Was never throwing dirt on a reviewer. Definitely was throwing dirt on HAL

Indeed I am familiar with your posts and I do appreciate your stance on this issue. Further, I also appreciate all that you do for the sport / activity. Can we rest assured that the missives from the algorithm are filtered post system generation prior to their arrival in a CO's inbox? Obviously I have a bias against the missives which I have received from HAL 9001. >( Reference the 1968 film 2001 Space Odyssey for you youngsters out there.)<

On a slightly more serious note ... I am sick and tired of what I call "entitled want a participation ribbon twits" and their whining because their search was either failed or flawed. Even more frustrating is how their inappropriate "call outs" seem to skew the algorithm resulting in a call out of the "Cache Health Police" . Nothing finer than getting an undeserved "Nasty Gram" from the "Cache Health Police" ....... GRRRRRRRRR

Best practice on re logging caches
humboldt flier replied to TheZenWizard's topic in General geocaching topics
Hmmmmm, Re-logging depends if you are "clear cutting" or selective logging how and when to go back in and log some more. Buuuuut I may be a tad off base. -
Seems to me Dog With Glasses was from Minnesota and The White Urkel was from Buffalo, N.Y. Whhhhaaaaaattttt ... they stepped in it again. Bummer; sorry to hear about the "Re-Banning". Miss the insights provided by those "seasoned folks". I still think there should be a size category for those blasted NANO containers.

Snnnnooorrrrrtttttt, LOL, LOL don't be starting a war now EC ... best to you and yours.

Thennnnnnn my nanos would really tick you off ... 6-8 years ago I jumped on the band wagon to get nano sizing as an option. Promptly got kicked in the teeth by TPTB and elements of "The Community". For the most part I put nano somewhere in the description, however, being an old fuddy-dud sometimes I forget. Hey "Dog With Glasses" and "The White Urkel", if you are still out there, do you remember the tussles from back in the day?! Man oh man we certainly got the "Thin Skins" ruffled back in the day. We were soooooooooo naughty. Can you say warned, probation and banned.

unwanted sex come on message
humboldt flier replied to Jayeffel's topic in General geocaching topics
To me it seemed to be routed into GC via something in YAHOO. Once I killed YAHOO I rarely get the crud. May be entirely unrelated.
