Why will it not help me solve it? Is there that much difference involved in a grid shift?

Also who or what are pythag and ed williams?

I only ask because I've never had to play with grid shift and besides that I never leave this chunk of rock just to get a waypoint on the mainland, if you know what I mean.

  2. Well thank you all for these explanations which I see isn't all that simple to understand. Quess I'll have to study those two links you posted Trailblazer#1 a little bit further.

Here I thought I was asking a simple question. Just goes to show you that you learn something new everyday. Once again thanks.

  3. Good Grief!!! icon_confused.gif What next??? And I thought this was suppose to be to have some fun...Yeah this is about as much fun as shoving needles up my nose.

Team K, you have my permission to email me your next waypoints to your next cache icon_smile.gif

  4. I went quadding yesterday and it must have been a bad day for reception even though it was a clear day. I live on Vancouver Island and when we stopped at this lookout point, I waited for my gpsr to get a lock on the signals. This was in an open area but anyway once I got a lock after many minutes, apparently we were in the Northwest Territories, (Kaminak lake).

Now that's like 1500+ km away. What gives? Was I being jammed somehow or could it be a software problem? Anybody else have this happen to them.

I'm using a Magellan SportTrak Map.

  5. I'm not sure how to respond to Ingots nonsense, but it reminds me of a bumber sticker I saw the other day,and it said,

"God was my copilot, and then we crashed and I had to eat him."

  6. Some peaple just plain suck period. I just started geocacheing about a month ago & after getting to know more about Team KFWB, I always looked forward to hear more about this group.

What get's me though are those who complained. Heck if those of you don't like what Team KFWB did/does or done...too friggin bad. Nobody forced anyone of you to their caches so why ruin it for everyone else.

Well hopefully KFWB will come back to these parts in the future but I won't be holding my breath in the meantime.
