  1. That is where you can buy them, already found that site. I did not see anywhere that you can activate it. I did contact the site to see if they could help. No response yet. I have emailed the seller on ebay about the code. They havent got a clue.
  2. I bought an unactivated Geocaching Germany geocoin off ebay. It is a great looking coin. Only problem I am having is that I can not for the life of me, find where to get the activation code. The original owner did not even have a clue. Can anyone help? I have the silver one, but could not find a pic of it.
  3. See that's just it, I was told by several that I did not need to get permission to place a cache at a rest area, since it was a public place. Oh well, think I will keep it archived and say the heck with it, even though it was real scenic back where I had it. Thanks for the infos
  4. I heard somewhere that all PA rest stop caches are to be banned. Shortly after that, my one cache at a rest stop came up missing. So for the time being I archived it till I heard and found out more. I had a really nice scenic spot at this one. Other cachers that have rest stop caches that I have talked to have never heard of the ban. I really want to put this cache back, and maybe even do bigger container than a micro this time, but I need to know first. Any truth to it?
  5. I have had a Z22 for almost a year now. I like it alot. Better than carrying around a binder full of paper. Everyone is right about the "direct sunlight" problem. Just gotta make your body into a shade, and even then that doesnt help. I usually wait till I get back to the car. I usually number the cache, as I find it, in the PDA. Butif you really feel like it, just go back through the list and check your times (if you mark it). Cachemate is a nice little program. Works good for me. GSAK and it get along. Took me some time to learn both, but I got them figured out. I too had thought about the "getting ruined" factor. Only have dropped the PDA once in the snow, it was ok. Now I make sure it goes back into my pocket, cache bag, or cradle as soon as I am done. battery life is pretty good. When it is cold, it dont last as long, but what batteries do? Might look into the car charger for it, just in case. I know I can get a whole day or 2 out of it on a full battery. Only turn it on when it is needed and then right back off. I did get an aluminum case for it with belt clip. Works out nice. Right now I am tryin to find a map program for it, so I dont have to print out maps all the time.
  6. I just recently went through all my TBs and coins. Quite a few have come up a missing. I email people that have them and never hear back. I ask other cachers that have been to a cache recently that has one of my items in it and ask if they saw, since it hasnt moved in some time. I get a reply back saying it was not there. This is starting to upset me. Feel like I am wasting my money on TBs and coins. What is everyone else's thoughts on this.
  7. I just used to leave a biz card with me @ my 100th, my name, and a very neat drawing I made a long time ago. Then I heard about Pathtags. They may be a little costly, but are nice, especially for some one who has no talent in making things. I now place a tag and a biz card with an explanation on the back, in a baggie and put them in caches I really like. I was trying to find something else to use, just couldnt figure out what to do. If I could make something, that would be great, not much talent here though.
  8. Glad to see I am not the only one now with this problem. I too am using Xp with IE7. I have also tried it with My other comp that is running 98 and I think IE5, still the same thing. Kinda hard to plan an area to cache in without a map. So pocket query is out and so is plan along a route. I agree that the site needs to go back to the old map system. I never had a problem with it.
  9. I wanna go paperless. I have already paid for premium. I just got my PDA today. It is a PalmZ22. I have no idea how to get the info onto the PDA from Geocaching, or what I need. Can anyone help?
  10. There are 3 other benchmarks nearby, all with in 30 yards of the broken one. I will have to go back and take another reading. I know its in the data base. As you can see though, you can not get any numbers off it.
  11. I found a benchmarker disc that is almost totally destroyed. I dont think it was on purpose, but I dont know. Looks like a big lawn mower hit it. If someone could email me the info on who to contact, I will contact them and let them know where it is, I would appreciate it. Thanks. My email is sparticus2006@verizon.net
