    this phone is still available as i was able to find the same one for the same price local recieved it today wow what a great phone well worth the asking price good luck selling it if i had the money i would get this one to but i dont so someone will be very happy with this phone pda the gps for it is on the way as well as the 2gig micro sd card wich i goton ebay very cheap 3.00 than 4.00 shipping

    I finally found the gps I have been looking for, it is on its way now I hope some one can help me out. I am looking for a bike handlebar mount for the magellan explorist 500. I hope this does'nt take as long as it did to find the unit. Please email me if you have one laying around or know some one that does. I thank you for any help you can give. :P

    i am selling my friends gps for him it is a lowrance ifinder go yellow it is great for begining geocachers i had one just like it when i started there is nothing wrong it he just doesnt need it anymore so he gave it to me but i have already found another one he is asking 60.00 plus shipping we also have a paypal account so as soon as we recieve payment it will be in the mail

    Not a recommendation or endorsement but:

    simply do an ebay search for "magellan explorist 500 battery charger"

     

    Lots of dealers selling for less than $20 for 2 batteries and a charger. If you get a charger with the USB receptacle on it, you can use the data cable to charge the battery without removing it from the unit.

     

    Secondly, stay away from the AAA holder unless you need it for an absolute emergency. With Alkalines, it might last 5 hours on the lowest backlight setting, much less on rechargeables and much less at a brigher more readable backlight setting. The battery pack is rated for 14 hours on low and is quite a bit less on high, but still at least double that of AAA's.

    I have a Magellan Explorist 500LE for sale. It comes with two lithium ion batteries, 2GB SD card, car charger, house charger,wrist strap, Mapsend Directroute CD's, handlebar mount, car dashboard mount, "AAA" battery adapter, usb cable, and a Zagg screen protector installed. The Mapsend CD's were $55 alone. I need to get $130 including shipping. It is in excellent shape, I bought a Garmin Oregon so I am getting rid of the Magellan.

    I am a college student who loves geocaching but my gps stopped working and I do not have much money to replace it, aso the one I want is not even in stores. I am looking for a magellan explorist 500le, any help would be appreciated thank you. Please email me please if you can help, as this is my geocaching name as well
