  1. Is there a way to find out where these bugs were intended to go? The few I have seen seem to be headed to Brazil ot other exotic places. Can I find a list that will tell me if one is heading to my corner of the world? Guiderchachi
  2. I am going to Wasaga Beach for an August wedding. I'll only be there for a couple of days but would like to log a cache in Ontario (I'm from Newfoundland). I have only found one in the area. Are there more? Can anyone help me out? Thank you in advance. Guiderchachi
  3. The easiest way to find some is to entera postal code for St. John's and then use the googlemap feature. You will comeup with several, that's what did earlier the spring. Try A1B 1W1. Goodluck, Guiderchachi
  4. I thought I would add in some pictures of Newfoundland in the winter. Snowshoeing on the shores of Deer Lake in Western NL. Our Pathfinder unit went on a hike, stopped for a "mug-up", and kept on going. That night, they prepared their tent for sleeping by banking the sides and snuggling warm in layers. This all took place on March 10, 2007. It was about -5 C when they went to bed. Guiderchachi
  5. I am from Canada and had a similar query about caching in Paris. I got some good hints. Check out the thread "Coming to Paris" Some of the ideas in there may help your search. Good luck! Guiderchachi
  6. ugh! How do I get a picture in the reply box? It won't let me copy and paste from my files. I want to join this thread. Guiderchachi
  7. I will email you through your profile with the TB number so you can log it it will be some time later tonight hopefully, as I am bit preoccupied with dogs and calendars at the moment (work and housework might have to be considered at some stage too ) Mandy Hi I haven't received anything yet. Are you busy or not have my info? Let me know if there is anything you need from me to help the process. Guiderchachi
  8. Done! Now what happens? How is this a TB? I'm new at this sport so I don't know a lot of what is happening, I just jump in with both feet. Fill me in if I have to do anything else and I'm all over it! Guiderchachi
  9. I just checked...my birthdate is not filled in. Can I help? Guiderchachi
  10. Do we have to be from the UK? I'm in Canada but am coming to London in 28 days. I will be cacheing...does that count? Guiderchachi
  11. I am glad my little query has helped others find some info. Since discovering this sport, I have found help in many locations. I can't wait to try to find some of the caches. Happy trails! Guiderchachi
  12. Thank you. I will definitely know by the endof March where we will be located.
  13. Wow! You are so awesome! That is fantastic help. Sorry if my first post left you confused. I know I need to know where we will be staying but that is up to the tour company we are travelling with. They don't tell us that until a few weeks before we go. After that I can only hope to hit a couple when I have a bit of free time. These group tours are pretty full of activities. With my luck, we will end up staying outside the city and I will have to start my search all over again. Thanks again and I will let you know how things progress. Guiderchachi
  14. Thank you. I looked there but it was all in French. I guess if I am stuck I can use an online translator...which is what I did with gperlier's post. We won't know for a couple of weeks where we are staying. We are flying out of St. John's, NL to either Montreal or Toronto and then to London. After 4 days in England, we go to Paris for 3 then return home. It will be busy so I have to be prepared ahead of time if I want to cache.
  15. Merci, You are correct. I do not speak french. I can slowly translate some words into english to get the general meaning. I know what you wrote, but I do not know what the other person wrote. I just don't know how to find cache information for Paris. When I do a search, I get the whole country, I don't know how to narrow it down. If I had coordinates or waypoints, I may be able to do something. Thanks for trying. Guiderchachi
  16. I kinda have to agree. I am using my Dad's GPS to see if geocaching was a passing fancy in the fall or am I crazy enough to do it all the time. Can't wait for my birthday 'cause everyone is giving me money to buy my own GPS. I'm addicted. Guiderchachi
  17. Bonjour, I am from Newfoundland, Canada. I will be in Paris for 3 days in April of 2007. I am having difficulty finding caches in English. Where can I get help? I am not sure where I am staying yet, but any general assistance will be appreciated. I am hoping to do a cache or two while I am there. Thanks in advance, Guiderchachi
  18. [ Despite the Isle of Man being about 5 degrees further north of Newfoundland, the few snowflakes here quickly turned into light drizzle and there was no settled snow even on the hills. Winter is over now, I think... That is good for caching. I'm getting a bit sick of the winter now. Time for it to go away so I can cache again and then my trip to London and Paris will be closer! Guiderchachi
  19. Come to Newfoundland, Canada! I can't cache because the snow in the woods is up past my waist! Gives me time to check out the various boards though. Happy Snowstorm, everybody! Guiderchachi
  20. What is the Last Delivery? Is it the name of a cache? Where do I find it? Of course, by the time I check back here, I may have already figured it out. Guiderchachi
  21. Wow! What a great response! You all have given me some great starting points. I am aware of the urban caches and the police involvemnt in London...I read about it when I looked up one of the caches. The caches in Oxford and Statford sound great. I am going to do more research on them. As for finding fireman for the bug to have its picture taken, that's up to whoever picks it up next. Thanks again and I may pop in again when I find out exactly where I am staying. The TB hotel in Regent's Park sounds fabulous. Can't wait to try to find it. Have a great day! Guiderchachi, Newfoundland, Canada
  22. Hi, I am new to geocaching in Newfoundland, Canada. I am coming to London on Easter weekend, 2007, then after 4 days am going on to Paris(school group tour). I want to bring a TB from Canada with me. We will most likely be staying somewhere northwest of the Thames and the London Eye...will be doing a lot of walking in the Hyde Park...Covent Garden area. We should know the hotel within a month from now. Also going to Oxford, Stratford, Stonehenge, Bath, Canterbury and Dover. It seems like a lot of the urban caches I have found are micros. Is this true? Any help I can get on where to drop this TB on a mission (it wants to have its pic taken with fireman from around the world) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Guiderchachi
  23. I love it!!! In Canada when we see that much pink on something we think of the Breast Cancer research foundation. I agree with Simply Paul: THINK PINK!!
