  1. I am having this problem right now. Logged 3 caches on Friday with the App and 2 of them have not showed up. Was traveling and connected to a Mifi for both logging and searching. Not sure how to figure out which one I visited without some sort of error log as it was a long distance away from home in unfamiliar places.
  2. Add me to the list of users with an Apple Watch. I did use it a few times before it was removed but it wasn't that great because of the lack of GPS. Love my watch and would use it to Geocache.
  3. Thanks. Booked in Lake Manatee State Park for 5 nights. Planning on staying in a hotel for the weekend and then another state park before heading home. Any one have any other suggestions?
  4. Thanks, I started looking at the Keys last week but everything was pretty much booked. I was just camping a week or 2 ago and it was in the low 40's and even upper 30's and it wasn't any problem. Hoping it doesn't get any colder than that.
  5. Hey, Looking for some help in picking out a camping spot for myself and at least 1 dog sometime around Christmas. Hoping to drive down and spend some time with family and then hit the hiking trails and camp. A nice bathroom/shower is required but that is about it. Any suggestions on really good caching too, numbers are not important just a nice hike. Splitting up the trip in 2 different spots is possible with total staying time about 7 nights. I have been to the gulf coast of Orlando and Tampa a few times so that is really the only area I even sort of know. Thanks for any help!
  6. Yes, we tried it all. We were back and forth with Garmin for at least 2 weeks before giving up. Both of us are in the computer field we know technology.
  7. I was a diehard Garmin fan up until recently. I had the ever faithful 76csx and LOVED it but really needed to upgrade to paperless. Shortly after the 78 was released I got it as a Christmas present. It has been a good unit hardware wise. Never any problems with signals or accuracy. I like the design and buttons but the software has been horrible. A few days ago I upgraded to the latest software again and it repeatedly crashed my unit every single time I switched menu screens. Like switching between the compass and maps. So I had to downgrade it to the previous version. There was also a very serious bug with the multi's and adding waypoints. No matter the option you could not navigate to the next leg or any new added waypoint. So getting back to your car by adding it in wasn't an option. It took a few months for this to be fixed. I have a friend who had a Dakota 20 that was having the waypoint problem so I offered to upgrade the software. Huge mistake the unit has never turned on since then. After many calls and emails to Garmin they finally said sent it back to us for $120 and we will look at it. What really? The unit isn't selling for that more much on ebay. So it still sits dead. We really spent hours with it. Even using DOS prompts and linux commands to try and fit it. On the fence on what advice to offer to new people or others who want to upgrade.
  8. I am having this problem too. Thanks for the help. I have the 78 which has the same user interface. It is an awesome GPS but the software is really tough to get used to and to learn.
  9. I would love one. Having been to The Spot and done some caching in Farmington and the surrounding areas I can totally relate to the coin.
  10. Cool another working dog out there. Errow is also trained in Schutzhund and we do flyball too. I have pictures up of him under my gallery page. He is my caching buddy a good majority of the time.
  11. Did you pick up the Rochester Maze coin?
  12. Has anyone tried using a Jornada with Wherigo? Is it even possible with this model since it's pretty old. I just came across one and am hoping to get it to work. Thanks to Mick there is now a cartridge in my area. TIA
  13. Will be in the Diamond/Austintown OH area Friday and Saturday night. Does anyone know of a good night cache within let's say a 1/2 hour drive. Thanks for any help. Trish
