I met a cacher from Aarhus, while I was stationed in Bahrain. Sad part was that I didn't realize this until after we had both parted ways and returned home to our home countries. Usually, our interaction with each other involved our work and the subject of geocaching never arose. I was later reviewing logs for caches in Bahrain and saw some of his log entries as returning to Denmark. I then put the pieces together from there. I also visited Aarhus when my ship visited there in 1988. A very beautiful city...

I had just made use of a metal detector, yesterday. Unfortunately, I came up unsucessful at finding an ammo can that hasn't been found in nearly 2 years. I have a TB that was placed in this cache the last time that it was found. I did pick up some metal reading, due to the area containing some trash debris and also the fact that it is along an old railroad bed. The cache owner has been involved much more with work and just doesn't take the time maintain caches. As a last ditch effort, I'm still going to try contacting him to try to get some insight as to where it is, or was. I'm just not convinced that the cache is missing...

Oldest active cache in each state. It's quite strange to be seeing a 4 character GC# these days....

Here's a 2 country multi-cache that I was never able to complete: GC16J1J As you can see, it doesn't get visited much. If you're not a Saudi resident, you just can't casually cross over into Saudi Arabia from Bahrain. You must have a non-tourist passport and must be on some type of important business to enter.

That's a cacher out of Tallahassee. I would give their name but not sure how they would feel about it, so I'll forward them a link to this thread and they can chime in if they want. TNLNSL out of FL is me. I'd be curious, KevJaxFL, where you saw me. After a PA geobuddy saw my tag she got one. I think it says WeCache. I saw your car at Florida Finders Fest 4...

I saw a Florida plate that had TNLNSL on it. I have no idea whose it is though.
