  1. I'm still seeing it like this, and have been for months now. If I zoom in either direction, the map briefly looks normal, but then turns gray with only caches showing. Using Chrome and Windows 7. Have tried several of the map options, and all performed the same. Very frustrating.
  2. I thought this sounded great when I read it, figuring I could handle the rest in GSAK. However, even with using the 'Check All' option, it only downloads the 20 caches on the page I'm looking at. :-(
  3. While researching this topic months ago, I read some where in these forums that doing as you say would be in violation of the Groundspeak TOU. Just saying.
  4. TB owners receive emails for all actions except the "visited" log. Which can be a good thing, if someone decides to hold on to your tb for a while and post nothing but "visited". The amount of emails from those types could get quite annoying. (On the other hand, you have no idea anything is happening unless you check the tb page.) It looks like your tb was in good hands, though, and only "visited" caches for a while. B. Thanks for the quick reply. I don't understand why that info is not posted anywhere. I also don't know why I got the 'retrieved', but not the 'placed' notification. Also, I didn't get an email regarding your reply to my question even though I am 'watching' the topic.
  5. This is such a newbie question, but normally, do TB owners receive email notifications of log entries for their trackables, as cache owners do? I ask because I sent out my first TB almost a month ago, but have received no such emails. When I checked on my TB this morning, I found it had done some travelling, with several 'visits' along the way. Was there a notification check-box I missed somewhere in the process?
  6. There doesn't seem to be a way under the 'Search' tab, but if you're viewing your field notes in the 'More' tab, they're always shown in order by date logged.
  7. It can be done now, w/o calendar format, by adding a log type of 'Owner Maintenance".
  8. Even when this used to work, previewing a profile displayed differently than just viewing the profile. The preview was perfect, whereas the html of the regular profile would be changed a lot in some places. An html programming friend of mine mentioned something about the possibility of different 'style sheets' used between preview and view. Will this be fixed as well? Thanks.
  9. That's a fine idea, a package price for membership paired with the app. I'm not sure how that would work though, with Groundspeak selling the premium membership, and iTunes actually selling the GS GC app. You should check out this thread, there are plenty of iPod Touch users commenting there, on both the GS and GeoSphere GC apps: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showforum=70
  10. Why can't/don't they just add a simple option on the PQ form?
  11. Thanks. I tried your changes, but haven't noticed any differences. I appreciate any and all HTML related help, though.
  12. If it matters to anyone (admin) at all..... WinXP Home MS IE 7.0.5730.13 Mozilla FireFox 2.0.0.20 Problem is with 'Our Caches' and 'Fellow GeoCachers We've Met' sections. I'm no HTML expert or anything. I just copied my stats from GSAK and made some modifications. Newly added links don't work, and location/alignment is off. Looks great in Preview, not in actual public profile. BAD: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/ GOOD: http://www.geocaching.com/account/preview_...iledetails.aspx Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Here's the way I believe the functionality should be added to GC.com: under My Account Details -> My Account Preferences -> Friend Requests Along with Allow Friend Requests, there should be options to Show My Finds and/or Show Caches Not Found by me. A user would then be able to pull up a map similar to their own, showing their Friend's finds/not founds. OR... instead of a separate map, add a new symbol for 'Found By Both". When looking at your local map, you could easily see which caches qualify.
  14. Now that I've recently updated my profile page, certain parts of it don't display correctly. (alignment, non-working links, sections out of sequence) However, using 'Preview Profile Details', everything looks and works fine. I don't get it. I thought maybe I had exceeded an HTML character limit, that was until I discovered the perfect preview.
  15. I have a notification subscription (the one linked at the bottom of the same email) which is supposed to send a notification when a traditional cache is approved within 40 miles of the origin. This has happened at least three times in the last several days on at least two different notification subscriptions. GO$Rs My notifications have been screwed up for two weeks also. Exactly as you mentioned with incorrect distances and over various subscrition types.
  16. My notifications have been screwed up for two weeks also. There haven't been any new placements in the area, so that isn't a problem. However, the ones I have gotten are beyond my specified distances. No changes in my setup either.
