  1. Thank you. I will bookmark this! Very useful. (Nevertheless, it would be helpful on gc.com as well, I think..)
  2. Hello Folks, I am sorry in case a topic like this is already existing, but I wish for a calendar on the site that shows not only nearby events (as can be found on the profile site), but shows "souvenir" events, such as the GIFF week or the International Geocaching day/weekend. We get informed about these events in the newsletters and blogs, but it would help much more if we could see it somewhere on the website, as well. What do you think? Can a feature like this be implemented? Regards, Erbspueree
  3. Same here.. Version 6.7.0 Android 6.0.1 samsung SM-G900F Wouldn't it be easier to give us the possibility to simply refresh the maps?? I really miss this option and this makes me often use a not-officially-supported app for android that HAS this function.. Because you cannot even log you caches with tbs (as you can on pc or on other, non-official apps), I didn't think this might be a bug, but just another point to wonder why the old, good-working and expensive app was replaced by this partly useless one.. ? Because it has always been so, as I remember.. But when it's a bug.. I hope my information on the top can help to fix this.
  4. Well, that might explain it, although the date was correct from the beginning on.. I changed it, to find out, why the date was not inserted into the matrix and changed it back afterwards.. But some minutes ago I logged another cache and now everything is fine. But thank you for your fast answer. Regards, Erbspueree
  5. Hm.. I have also a problem with the statistics.. yesterday I logged a cache (with yesterdays date!), but the 7th of March stays with "0" in my calender matrix.. I already controlled that the date is correct, but no.. no cache found on March 7th.. What can I do? is this a bug or did I do something wrong?? Regards, Erbspueree
  7. Nope. Unfortunately, there IS no Wherigo-Button, because there is no Wherigo-App/Player on the Oregon 6x0s But thanx for the explanation.
  8. It's also the Wherigo website stating that. So not only the thread.. kind of confusing.. (just to make clear) No need to change anything..
  9. Technically we say the same in Germany. "Klotz am Bein" I often jsut say "I'm looking for something". Some are satisfied and leave the scene.. if they are curious enough, they might stay and ask further. Depending on the situation I explain thet I'm on a scavenger hunt. Sonetimes, what GC is. Two weeks ago I looked for a cache on a playground.. there was a family with small kids. When they asked me what I was doing, I directly explained it to them, since I can understand that it might not be funny for parents seeing someone (even a girl) sneaking around a playground. But I like the leaflets.. will print some out when I have the chance to. Some days ago there was a homeless drunk asking me waht I was "sneaking around the cars" on an open parking area (not even a car park, just a free area with stoney ground). He was so rude and told me to call the police.. since I am working with the BKA at the moment (just as student! So technically I have absolutely "no rights" ) I showed him my BKA pass.. he disappeared. Of cause, this pass is definitely not valid outside the BKA and in addition: I am no policeman. But the guy disappeared.. he was too rude to explain anything. -.- (at least: it worked.. never do this again. X.X)
  10. Same here, drshughes- This is why I asked.. it looks like it COUDL handle Wherigo.. especially because the Wherigo website says, that it works "automatically" on "Garmin Oegon" (that does not exclude the 600s..) But it seems we are unlucky.. :/ And since my mum has a WINDOWS Phone and not android or iOS, we also couldn't try out Wherigo by smartpohone yet.. (and I don't have a smartphone yet..)
  11. Yees, but it still is a pity.. (we'll try the Wherigo caches with the smartphone of my mother.. ) EDIT: found the mistake.. it has to be turned on, BEFORE connecting to the PC to be recognized.. Aaah.. it works.
  12. I see.. what a pity. Thanx for the fast answers..
  13. So is there any chance to get it?
  14. Hi guys, Since today I am the proud owner of a Garmin Oregon 600 and since I "upgraded" my hardware extremely by buying it, I wanted to try a Wherigo cache - there is one listed just around the corner of my house.. But.. I have absolutely no idea where to find the Wherigo app, where EXACTLY to save the cardridge etc.. and in case there is no Wherigo player yet: how can I get it onto my device?
