I am in Ontario, Canada, and am new to all this and I am thinking of buying a Magellan SporTrak PRO so that I can do some Geocaching. I see the best price for this I found so far was about $380 Canadian. Is that a good price? Also, is this a good reliable unit to get or is it overkill? Is this unit goof for the money or would you recommend a different one. I just want to get some opinions.
Also, do the mapSend Streets and Destinations CDs have hiking trails mapped in it too, such as the Bruce Trail in Ontario, Canada? Also, will this software navigate for me when I am driving...ie help me find my destination?
What accesories might I need to buy? Ie, a cable to hook up to the PC? Car cigarette lighter adapter? carrying case?
Also, one question I do have, is using a GPS free, or do you have to pay a monthly service fee to hook up to the satellites?
Thanks...
