  1. I was watching that cache for a few weeks. I considered logging it but decided it was too lame. Too many 'cachers' were leaving logs like..."Cloudy night so didn't get to see it but heres a picture of a star chart I downloaded off the internet thanks for the smiley."
  2. Sure. This should help. EDIT: And this is even better.
  3. I use the 60CS for both geocaching and car navigation. It works perfectly well for both. It doesn't have voice commands but if it did I'd turn them off anyway.
  4. Earl, if you want to hide a micro cache where nothing is traded and the log is signed, that's great. If you want to hide an ammo can where something is traded and and the log is signed, that's great. It's like Burger King. Have it your way.
  5. Holy cow, me too. A Kershaw Ken Onion Leek 1660ST and a Surefire E2E. Don't go anywhere without either one.
  6. Not too long ago people here were talking about a multi where the first stage coords were engraved on a grain of rice. So, I guess not.
  7. If you download a PQ of caches the additional waypoints come zipped in your PQ as a separate file.
  8. Pretty cool, I ordered a school of 'em.
  9. Here is a link to my mini TB. Jekyll Island Flip Flop. I ordered a custom dog tag from eBay. Gave them the tracking number, they engraved the tag and shipped it to me for about two bucks total. Also, many modern pet shops have user operated dog tag engraving machines on-site, but they're sometimes as much as eight or ten bucks per tag.
  10. Don't y'all have those coordinate thingies over there?
  11. Virtual caches that allow the 'finder' to put the answers in the online log are one reason http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&numlogs= And this one... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&numlogs=
  12. You have chosen to ignore all posts from: XXXXX How many of you use the 'Ignore' feature in the forums? I'm currently ignoring two posters and I'm pretty sure this feature is the handiest thing since sliced bread. Do you use it? If so, how many posters do you ignore?
  13. Thanks, that helps allot!!!!! I've emailed the owner of that cache and invited him to this thread. Hopefully he'll be along soon.
  14. Click on 'My Controls' then on the left you'll see 'Message tracker'. It's in there.
  15. I think this cache fits the bill. (Photo by cqedens137)
  16. Right, thanks. Or use GSAK and a couple of other programs to do the same thing, though with an extra step or two. You can also drag your PQ file into the 'Temporary Places' folder in GE. Which is why I'm wondering if the upgrade is worth it.
  17. Thinking of upgrading to Google Earth Plus and would like opinions. Are the added features worth the $20? It looks to me that the only differences are that Plus allows waypoints to be transferred from the GPS to GE (But not back to the GPS), and it also seems to have some basic image editing tools. Who's got it and likes it? Who's got it and doesn't?
  18. Duct tape, packing tape, anything like that should (might) pull them off.
  19. The compass in that receiver has to be re-calibrated at least every time you change the batteries. Sometimes more often. If it isn't, it can bounce all over the place.
  20. I don't know about Mozilla, just use FireFox. I left clicked on the d/load icon then clicked 'Install' on the resulting page. I'm sure someone else who knows more will be along to help you out.
  21. You need the Firefox browser, and this extension... http://gmscripts.locusprime.net/Totals_By_Log_Type.html
  22. When that happens you just need to click on the image links on the cache page. Here they are circled in red.
