  1. JB, I'm in Savannah. If you need any help let me know...
  2. Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery was made famous in John Berendt's book (and subsequent movie) Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. My Bonaventure Cache: Famous Neighbors
  3. Pocket Query Page: http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/
  4. It depends on the complexity of the cache. I'll sometimes make three or four trips before I actually hide the cache. First find the general or specific location for the hide. Go home, find out who owns it. Get permission if needed. Back out for the hide. Two trips minimum. Often more.
  5. Does anyone else foresee 'treasure' maps being sold that lead to existing geocaches? This has got to be either a spoof or a joke or... What was that guy's name who promised to bring down Groundspeak? Perhaps this is Step 1 in his three part plan to rule the world. Look at this silly page... http://www.treasuremapbroker.com/files/samplemap.html
  6. Look on the right hand side of your Geocaching account page.
  7. Why not leave it and hide another?
  8. Sounds like the guy's a noob who made a mistake. I think diplomacy is the way to go.
  9. Adding a Picture to a Forum Post 1. Your picture must be on the internet somewhere -- not on the hard drive. If you want to share a personal photo, but don't have web space, upload it to a cache log, cache page or your profile page. 2. Copy the URL for the image so that it's in your clipboard. 3. Compose your forum post. When you want to insert the image, click on the "Insert Image" button in the top "Code Buttons" section. It's the icon that looks like a photo of a tree. 4. A dialog box will pop up, prompting you for the URL of the image. Paste the URL from your clipboard into the box (Ctrl-V = paste) and click "OK." 5. Preview your post to make sure it works! If you are having trouble, try practicing in the test thread that is pinned at the top of the "Getting Started" forum. From the FAQ pinned to the top of the Getting Started Page. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=8749
  10. Is it possible? Yes. Is it ethical? No. Though I understand where you're coming from.
  11. Let's just treat religion based caches like Virts and start a new site for them. Call it www.credulouscachers.com You could have virtual miracles and everything over there.
  12. Of the five Bison tubes I have on hand, three are different diameters. So it's hard to tell you which size to get. At Home Depot, etc. you can get a 100 pack - ten each of ten different sizes - for not much more than a small pack of one size. Shotgun it. That's what I did.
  13. Hold down the Mark button. When the waypoint screen appears toggle to the area for the coordinates and edit them to what you want them to be then save the waypoint.
  14. Mine also wobbled until I loaded it full of silicone glue, then put it on the antenna. That's worked well so far.
  15. Send the cacher an email through the geocaching site and ask him for his email addy.
  16. Here you go... http://www.sissy-n-cr.com/bisonlogs.pdf http://www.txga.net/cache_docs.asp http://www.socalgeocachers.com/modules.php...nload&cid=2 http://www.wnag.net/docs.htm
  17. In other words... The 'Test' area is pinned to the top of the Getting Started page. You can't miss it, but here's a link: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=143896 Welcome to geocaching.
  18. Some more cache page HTML. http://nozen.com/geo/html.htm
  19. Go here: http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/
  20. I notice you haven't found this one yet... X Marks the Spot
  21. Yep, me too. I initially thought it was a spoof.
