  1. If there's still time, I would really like to join this one please? 1. Participating - Email sent 17/02/09 (hope it's not too late ) 2. Received Name 3. Mission Complete 4. Mission Arrived!
  2. Can only echo all of the above comments......it's a fine looking coin indeed, brilliant work!!!!
  3. Beautiful work Tsun, love the blue one.
  4. I got a shipping notification from Pablo this week (thank you!).....I can't wait to see these in person!!!!!! Will be watching my letterbox like a hawk!
  5. A quick update.....three "GeoPix" geocoins (and a "Team Jsam Idaho 2007" geocoin), arrived safe and sound in Scotland this week. So it was indeed 3rd time lucky for me.....thank you Team Jsam! Having said that though, that's not the end of my story...... Because......... just a couple of days after I posted in this thread (about the coins being lost in the mail), I got a wonderful surprise in the post of a black finish "GeoPix" with my rainbow photo on it.... from none other than the "Highland Geofairy"!! It was a lovely feeling to be able to see what my pic looked like on one at last...the little HGF is still spreading that fairy dust .... and I'll always treasure this particular coin, because it was sent to me out of the goodness of her (or his for that matter!) heart. Many thanks once again HGF!!
  6. Good to read your response to myself and Ryan's posts. Couldn't agree with you more there......I've been thinking that for a while, very "fishy" indeed! I send and receive packages to/from the USA on a pretty regular basis and I have never had any problems like this before. Not counting yours, I've only had one package go missing in about 5 years. What I can't understand though, is why none of these missing packages are ever getting returned to you. Anyway thanks again for your response. I'll keep everything crossed that young Ryan receives his prize soon, and that it'll be a case of "third time lucky" for me.
  7. My set of Bewitched coins have arrived in Scotland safe and sound and I can only echo everyone else's comments...... absolutely beautiful.. Thank you Hans!!!!
  8. The other cacher is me. I won the landscape competition for the Geopix coin, but have never received the coins that I was supposed to get for winning.....despite a replacement "second" package being sent. I got in touch many times to say that the replacement package hadn't arrived..... but have had no reply since being told that the replacement had been posted, and that was months ago. I've sent another email today after reading The_Night_Cacher's post and realising that he must have been having a similar problem to mine. Surely the packages that didn't make it to me were returned to the sender, and I've even offered to pay the postage to have it sent again.....especially with me being overseas. I love landscape photography every bit as much as caching and was so excited to have won the comp, I'll probably have to end up buying one of the coins lol to see my pic on them. I don't understand why neither package made it over to me, and I am being totally honest about not receiving them.
  9. A little brown envelope with two geocoins inside arrived this morning from "Geo-Santa" in Palm Springs California (posted 9th December), so I think that this must be my mission....thank you mystery cacher whoever you may be! So that's all of our missions complete now, thanks again Butterfly_lady for the effort you put into the running of it all.
  10. Thanks PassingWind for posting here to let us know that our second mission has also found it's way safely across the pond - very much appreciated. That was 8 days that both of them took to get from Scotland to the USA.... so that was quite good going, really chuffed about that. We are just waiting for one of ours (mine) to arrive now, plenty of time yet though.... and then that will be our missions complete.
  11. Where to begin? I mentioned the arrival of the package in my previous post. I guess I should start by introducing the dogs. Daisy is our beagle. She’s about 8 years old and is nicknamed booger because once she sticks to your fingers (when being scratched / petted), she is hard to disengage. Pinot, an Airedale, is our newest addition. Our previous big dog passed away in July. By August, my wife was ready to start looking at other dogs. She has wanted an Airedale for longer than I’ve known her (and our 25th anniversary is coming up next year). She contacted Airedale rescue and we met a dog and brought it home that day. He’s about 1½ now. And, yes, he was named for his whine. Both dogs were interested in the package, and when I removed the inner bag, Daisy surprised me by putting put her paws up on the table to investigate. (No, she is not normally allowed to do that!) Upon opening the bag, there were two wrapped presents inside – one labeled for each dog. Both investigated their package and Daisy grabbed hers and darted off to the living room. The dogs got a bit of help opening their presents and what nice ones they were! Each dog had an individualized stocking containing a toy, a beef stick, and some treats. (My wife adores the stockings - we needed one for Pinot this year. I like them alot too!) Daisy can be seen jumping for half of her treat – a bit of a feat in itself. She was recently very overweight; she’s still heavy but she can get some air for the right incentive. It’s a good thing I broke it into two pieces too. She got it the first time on her first jump before I could snap a picture. I think she swallowed it without chewing too, something that beagles are prone to do. It took some effort to get Pinot to settle down for a picture with his swag. He was more often seen stealing Daisy’s toy. I guess that’s only fair, Daisy often steals his chews as soon as he looks the other way. Oh yeah, there was something for me in the package too. Two great geocoins! There was a Garmin UK geocoin (I figured I’d never have much of a chance of getting a Garmin geocoin) and a “Get out of jail free” geocoin – which I didn’t get when they came out, so I’m very glad to have one now! MANY THANKS and Happy Christmas to the Geo-Gophers!!!!! Thanks so much for posting these pictures and letting us know that their parcel reached them safe and sound .....they're both lovely looking dogs. Pinot looks very mischievous and Daisy has a lovely "smile" !! It's brilliant to be able to see them with their toys and stockings.....I'm glad that they enjoyed them, and that you liked your coins too.
  12. There are so many people that I would like to nominate, but here are a few..... lorca.nl........because she is one of the sweetest and nicest people on this planet, and I just love her to bits. geo.error ......for making me smile, even on days when I would never have imagined it possible to. chrisgun .... a truly lovely, caring person with a heart of gold. Butterflylady .....just because she's such a lovely person and took on the mammoth task of running the Santa Mission. I love the way that she always takes time to email you personally too, if you have any concerns for ANY of the missions that she runs. Fluttershy .....one very special lady indeed. WRITE SHOP ROBERT ......for all the contests he's ran, and the time and effort that he puts into making them all such fun. Mousekakat .....because Naomi is such a caring person and must be feeling so down at the moment about having just had the family's GPS' stolen when their car was broken into......now they can't even get out to enjoy caching. and.... kehunt64, tsunrisebey, Tooey, KernowCachers, Dolfy, ATMouse, Cheesy pigs, ELTADA, forthferalz, sweetlife, rsg, Paganfrog, PinkDolphin, Grodan & fiabus, Team Vorvik, summerandnana, BLUEMOTMOT .....all for just being "themselves" - wonderful people, all with hearts the size of oceans. I'm sure that I must have missed out just as many names again though.....

  15. What a gorgeous looking little cache!!!!!! It would make my day finding something like this, it's beautiful!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I suppose it's just because I'm a bit of a magpie and love shiny, colourful little things. I don't have a big collection...... but love how each and every one of the coins in my little hoard, is a little piece of art in it's own right, and the learning about the meaning/concept behind certain coin designs is lovely too.
  17. Update: Mission #1 Alison: 1. Participating: Email sent 03/10/08 2. Received Name: Yes! Name received 31/10/08 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: Mission #2 Harvey (GeoDog): 1. Participating: Email sent 03/10/08 2. Received Name: Yes! Name received 28/10/08 Woof!! 3. Mission Complete: 4.Package Received!: Yes!!! 30th November (it actually got here much earlier than that, but we only managed to get to the depot to collect it last week). Harvey's mission has arrived safe and sound in Scotland from his mystery "Santa Cacher"...... all the way from Ogden, Utah!!! Thank you so much whoever you may be!!!!!! This actually arrived a little while back, unfortunately though we were out at the time (they left a card), and couldn't manage to pick it up from the depot until this past week. So apologies to Harv's mystery cacher, for taking so long to post this update. Have resisted temptation to open the box so far (love the Santa label )..... decided to wait until both missions arrive and then hopefully leave them both until Christmas. Will post pictures then. I'll be posting both of our missions off on Monday (1st December). The coin that I was waiting for finally arrived at the end of the week (3 weeks it took to get here). Both should make it to their destinations well in time for the big day though, because the last posting date for packages to those places from the UK is 10th December. Will update here again as soon as they are both on their way
  18. It HAS popped up........it's made it all the way over to GCK38X in Sweden!!!!!!!!!!! That was a brilliant surprise this morning, because I honestly thought that it must have gotten lost somewhere enroute.........well it's a lot nearer to Scotland now so I'm keeping everything crossed here!! Just in case it makes it over here I've had to update the details of the cache that it's mission is to head to........because that one of ours got muggled recently and we are just in the process of getting it's replacement sorted out. So the it's new cache destination is our cache "Logie Cache & Dash" GC1C9RK.
  19. I haven't been on the forum for a few days, but I got roped in last week too!!!! (I have #210) Many thanks once again Geo-Bandit, it's a beautiful little coin and I feel very honoured to have been given one. Loved the black padded mailer and stamp too...I've got them stashed safely away as well.
  20. A quick update on the missions from Harvey and me..... I'm just finishing gathering the bits and pieces together and am waiting for one coin to come in the post.........it seems to be taking forever to get here . I'll have both missions in the post asap, probably early next week (that's me allowing time for that coin to arrive). They will be away in plenty time of though because the last Airmail posting date from the UK (to the folks' parts of the world that I've been given) is 10th December.........and both parcels will be away well before then.
  21. Another lovely little coin........ there's too many gorgeous ones appearing today!!!!
  22. I love everything about these.......but can't make my mind up which to choose!! They really are gorgeous......beautiful work. Order sent.......
  23. Ditto.......my two tone coin coin arrived a few days ago and it really is a little beauty!
  24. ? Did I ever send you my address? I don't remember receiving my winning coin Congrats to the winner! I'm dying to see what the GeoPix coin turned out like. I'd love to see how my photo looked on it......I've seen pics of it online, but to see one "in person" would be lovely. I never bought one because of having the winning photograph in the competition for them here on the forums (mine's was the photo with the rainbow) and the prize being to win a couple of the coins. However, the first package that Jake sent never reached me, goodness knows what happened to it.......and now I'm getting really worried about the replacement package he sent a few weeks ago, because it hasn't turned up yet either. I've never been this unlucky with mail from the USA before.....
