Mr. Planet, I think you nailed it. I was totally confused. I thought the photo upload was for the signature or something else. I kept thinking the avatar setting should have an upload. Let's see how I did. goTitans.com

No luck. All I see is... Your Avatar Image (JPG files only) An avatar is a small photo that represents you in the forums. This image will be resized to 75 pixels wide. Would any of this be because I am on a mac? I've tried both IE and Netscape and get the same thing. goTitans.com

I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find any help. I want to change my avatar. In MyPop, I go to the avatar place and see a pulldown where I can select my old avatar or none. But I can't find a place to replace my avatar as I did when I originally uploaded it. Thanks for any help. goTitans.com

BestBuy.com has them for $139.00. I've not gone to a store to see their price. The Amazon.com deal is better than most of the deals I see on eBay. It was $109 last week. People are paying $99+ and another $15 for shipping. Amazon has free shipping on this. Very decent. Anyone know of anything better online?

Probably very fair for the 315. They are $149 new. I'm shaking the piggy bank to see if I can come up with the moolah.

Target doesn't carry them here. Target.com doesn't have the yellow etrex. Cheapest in the area was Academy Sports with one for $99 and then you get to add 8.75% tax in Tennessee.

This hobby must be growing by leaps and bounds. Even used GPS models on eBay are going for $85 and up plus shipping ($8-$16 more). I'm bumping this thread back to the top in case any of you guys are ready to upgrade and don't want to mess with selling your unit on eBay.

As a total newbie, I haven't even gone for my first cache yet. Heck, I don't even own a GPS (looking). But I would be interested in this.

Missed the top bid on a new yellow eTrex on eBay today. It went for $78 including shipping. I'd think one could find a used for around $60?

I read in one of these forums some concerns over the 310. I didn't understand the problem though. Anyone know the reason for any concern?

Thanks for the reply. Will I regret going with the base model? I've seen those with the case around $116 new on Amazon.com. But I've heard of others who said they wished they'd gone with something more advanced a few months later.

I'm thinking a E-trex or Magellan 315. Something that will get me and the kids going for less than $80. I'm also open to suggestions as I am just starting out. Thanks in advance!
