Thank you, that is good to know! But unfortunately in spite of that, the problem remains of people forgetting to add favorite points they say they are adding. Perhaps the button could be designed more like the favorite button on the cache page (the color blue, with the text 'Favorite') and positioned next to the post/save button.

I've noticed that it is quite common for people to write in their log that they are leaving a favorite point, but then they forget to actually leave a favorite point. I'm sure I have done this as well at some point. Would it be possible to be able to mark the cache as a favorite while writing the log? Once you click "post," it's very easy to think that you are all done and forget to leave the favorite point. Thank you.

For perhaps a month now I have been unable to add geocaches to a list from the browse map. Get an endless looping green circle. Use Brave browser (derived from Chromium).

One gets a sense that there has to be a better way. Where was the community outreach to figure out a solution? Why is pulling the plug the only way forward? Has there been any communication with NGS? It is incredibly unfortunate that 20 years of historical archives that took thousands of hours of volunteer effort will be disintegrated on a matter of a few weeks notice. Only a decision a company would make, not a sensible individual.

To me, the beauty of Geocaching is that everyone can participate in their own way. Beyond the fundamental principles, there is no right or wrong way to geocache. Depending on if you like hard or easy, traditionals or EarthCaches, remote or in the city, etc. etc...whatever it is you want to get out of the game, you can find it. It's a shame we are taking away part of the game for the sake of consistency instead of appreciating and celebrating the diversity of experiences one can have Geocaching.
