Greetings all:
As you can see I'm new to geocaching. I love to backpack and this past summer I finally got around to hiking Half Dome and Clouds Rest. I went on the web to look up the USGS monuments on Cloud's Rest when I stumbled upon this website. And well, I'm hooked:D
Anyway, I didn't know about leaving/taking coin etiquette because, well, I'm new. If that is part of the game, then you all should put that in the instructions. I really like to collect the coin icons and as you all know the swag is most caches is not worth exchanging for. I have just purchased my first coin and signed up for a coin club with every intention of exchanging out the coins for others that I find. But I'm still planning on moving on the ones that I find, unless you guys say I should just discover them when I don't have a coin with me. Also, since I'm a newbie, and in order to alleveate some of the worry, I take a pic of my mascot with the coin. I do have one coin, my first find, that I will send on its way now that I managed to figure out which jacket I was wearing when I found it originally-it was in the pocket! Sorry CKayaks!
Last question: Do you prefer to have your coins moved to easy to find locations or harder and less frequented caches?
