  1. OK I admit, I'm new at this. So I got my coin where can I find the activation code for this one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Need activation code for Quigley Jones Tall ship coin. Can't seem to find it anywhere. thanks!!!
  3. Interesting, yes! Having seen and touched a two tone double dragon (thank you ckayaks!) I really liked the two tone finish of that coin. Can't really tell from the pics here if I like it. It looks washed out, but then a pic of the dd coin would look the same, i.e. washed out, but in the hand, it was really beautiful! My favorite coin yet. Cheers, nooks
  4. Thanks Dwoodford! That's all I wanted to know. Now, I have this trajectory problem that I need to solve to find a geocache
  5. Geez, sorry I asked! But to answer your question. I DID go to the site listed on the bug. I did not find it to be very helpful. I was able to find the answer to my question after about 15 minutes of searching the forums here. Someone posted a link to last months pictures, which was exactly what I was looking for. Being new, I did not know that the subject had been covered, many times, thank for the search suggestion. I view the jeep thing as a creative challenge, I could care less about the contest, (That doesn't mean I won't keep the GPS if I win ) although I think it's great that fellow enthusiasts get to vote and I don't put down others if they want to participate. Forgive my enthusiasm and for attempting to hijack the thread, I guess the "tadpole" sign should come with training wheels of a sort, then some people can know to just get out of the way.
  6. I answered this one in the other thread that you asked the same question in. Actually, it wasn't the same question. But I could see how you think you answered this one. Thanks.
  7. How does one get to vote in the contest?
  8. OK, So what is one supposed to do with these "goals"? I just picked up a JEEP TB and I didn't even know about the contest, now I do and I want to enter. What am I supposed to take a pic of? This months is ADVENTURE, should I print out the word and take a pic of that, or should I plan an adventure? Or find a cool puzzle cache? I really don't know, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Got my coveted tallship coin. Thanks Quigs. I'll be releasing it close by in tribute to our friend and tall ship crew member of the Royalist, Bob Furber. Thanks again, Nooks
  10. This is a cool idea and I love to move coins. I have only placed one so far. Do you have your 100 people yet? Please let me know. I do have six coins in hand with more to come. Thanks, Nooks PS. I've been caching for a month, but please don't hold that against me!
  11. I'd like 1 of the black one, or whatever you have available. Thanks! Team Nooks
  12. I'd like 1 of the black one, or whatever you have available. Thanks! Team Nooks
  13. Greetings all: As you can see I'm new to geocaching. I love to backpack and this past summer I finally got around to hiking Half Dome and Clouds Rest. I went on the web to look up the USGS monuments on Cloud's Rest when I stumbled upon this website. And well, I'm hooked:D Anyway, I didn't know about leaving/taking coin etiquette because, well, I'm new. If that is part of the game, then you all should put that in the instructions. I really like to collect the coin icons and as you all know the swag is most caches is not worth exchanging for. I have just purchased my first coin and signed up for a coin club with every intention of exchanging out the coins for others that I find. But I'm still planning on moving on the ones that I find, unless you guys say I should just discover them when I don't have a coin with me. Also, since I'm a newbie, and in order to alleveate some of the worry, I take a pic of my mascot with the coin. I do have one coin, my first find, that I will send on its way now that I managed to figure out which jacket I was wearing when I found it originally-it was in the pocket! Sorry CKayaks! Last question: Do you prefer to have your coins moved to easy to find locations or harder and less frequented caches?
  14. I see you're sold out, if someone backs out, I would really like to have one. thanks!
  15. This stuffy is our backpacking mascot and my pillow. While hiking in Yosemite my sweetie took the picture you see at the left and dubbed her an arboreal sea otter whose name is nooks. I actually couldn't believe that someone else didn't already have nooks......
  16. I'm new here and on my second cache (which was last week []) I grabbed a coin. When I got home and went excitedly to log it in. I discovered that the coin had not been logged into this cache itself. The next day the person who placed the coin logged it in and emailed me. I then edited my log entry and went to log in the coin, I found that it now read "Last seen in the hands of Nooks" I figured that the person who emailed me logged in that I had taken it. I had no problem with that since I stated as much in the cache log. Maybe you all could do this as well?
