  1. Map does not work to scroll on mobiles. Gave up
  2. People are so useless and lazy today. When someone does an "armchair" find on my caches, the delete button gets an automatic pressing.
  3. All these comments and NOBODY has an answer to the posters questions. Note even the folks at Groundspeak do not respond. A better question is why does the mobile app show Adventure Labs and online computer not? The day is over when they (AL) were "experimental or special". The honest answer is because Groundspeak does what they want regardless of what members ask for, they do minimal upgrades to the online, have poor direction, are more focused on "looking sexy" topics vs topics that relate to things working, and lastly have what appears as their corporate guidelines "ignore complaints from our customers". Groundspeak must have gone to the "Google school of app design".
  4. Same here, and let's hope the SUPER annoying bug gets fixed and fixed FAST. I have my doubts though, since so many other annoying things never seem to get addressed. For example having to sign into forums when already signed into site. Mobile Adventure Lab app that sucks the phone battery.
  5. Lord people, settle down! I was asking a question, not suggesting murder! As usual, most people can not stick answering the question and they ramble all over the place, spewing mostly irrelevant babble.
  6. Anybody know if there is a way to stop email notifications of "found etc." for caches owned?. I have turned off all email preferences except Newsletter in my profile. I know I could write an email rule to put in the trash, but logic says this would be an obvious preference setting. Would still want to keep notifications for new / released caches.
  7. I did not realize there was a Seattle Time Zone, maybe Pacific?
  8. NO, you read what I wrote. I am telling you, the view that shows on opening the map is NOT NOT NOT MY HOME COORDINATES. It does not show my how, until I click the the home location. Then it is fine. I am saying, you should NOT have to do this, the map should automatically open at your profile home location. Not some distance away. Obviously, if you review the thread and others, I am NOT the only person. BTW, I am very familiar in my profession of ERP System, programming etc. on proper ways things should be. Now, if you folks can fix the issue or have a selection to "use default profile location" like others have asked, that would be useful. I am not explaining or conversing any longer on this topic. e.g. remove the link function at bottom right period.
  9. Oh please, there are plenty of instances where people (users) have complained and you do not listen. Yes I am aware of how it works. Read my comment, it should default to your home location on record. That is my exact point. Thank you for confirming the lack of reading and action on the end. Yes, issues have been reported, guess what...NO RESPONSE. On the topic of insulting, I hardly need to be told how to use a browser and click on links and features.
  10. What an utterly useless thing if the posting person says is true, e.g. the browser location. In my case it shows me a good 70kms away from where I physically am. I know my profile is correct home location. Common sense (heaven forbid they use that) says go off your home location. Then the have users navigate. I know for a fact my ISP has centers closer. In fact I can guarantee where the map thinks I am, there is NO WAY my ISP has any sort of location center there. Wouldn't it be lovely if HQ actually read and responded to bug reports? Must be graduates of Google.
  11. Use FireFox or Chrome, dump IE in the trash bin.
  12. Hostile, really? What telling people to actually do some effort for themselves? Maybe spend less time posting and more time practicing your geocache skills. It was not a tough to figure out event.
  13. Not difficult or hard at all. Read the FAQ instead of typing this dribble.
  14. Why is there pictures on the Blog that appear to Zoom in size as you scroll? Just leave them at one size, very annoying.
  15. April 7, Slow response again, can not post updates. Time is 12pm pst
  16. Good Answer, at least your reply is relevant to the question. Thank you.
  17. toss them, do not even bother checking other than curiosity reading.
  18. Wow, likely more time spent here than doing simply edit to comply. Generally speaking reviewers are very accurate on their comments.
  19. Well considering the topic of this thread is "Send to Garmin". Good point, the Send to my GPS has not worked for about a year, give or take. You would think by now they would simply remove it. That is ok, I gave up (as usual) and simply wrote a pocket query.
  20. NOT working using Chrome or Opera. Garmin Express Opens just fine, does not send. Suggest GS give up on the "fancy" stuff since it rarely works or work for very long.

    Gps Vs. Gpsr

I think anyone who can figure out geocaching, can figure out the if you do not use the "r", they will not be think you are carrying the satellite around. As in " I dropped my GPS on the ground when I was signing the log sheet". Or I use a Garmin 64st GPS. Pretty sure nobody will confuse it with a satellite.
  22. Lord people, you put too much into this. The rules are find the cache, sign the log sheet, enter the log. If not, delete the online log, that simple. Unless of course there is a note online saying.."log paper full, too wet etc.". Then as the CO, get out there and maintain (and maybe sign the log on behalf of those that could not). Quit reading so much into this.
  23. Same problem as others, seem to be caches where the size is not designated. All others show fine and in the list. It is NOT a zoom issue because if it was, would be all caches. I have taken a cache that does not show up, then using GSAK, change the size to anything other than "nothing". Reload it, shows just fine, others I did not fix do not appear. Solution (crappy as it is) using GSAK, sort caches by size, override any without a size (eg. "X") in the size.
  24. Also note that what they refer to as a premium cache, or a cache that's over 1.5 difficulty or terrain rating is not the same as PMO (Premium Members Only) caches. I think that using the word "premium caches" has caused some confusion with app users. As for the new app, it is not so bad for premium members and it will get better soon. Best advice, if you play here buy a premium membership. It has all the perks, and basic membership is exactly that, a basic membership that is free. Don't worry even the paid one for premium is crap.
