  1. When looking through my list of finds it appears that most of them are micros. I hate micros. I have found them magnetize to the back of signs and under bridges, glued to the back of rocks, in knot holes in trees, in drilled holes in trees, signs, fences; in telephone booths, in steel fence posts, in chain link fence, tree branches, under rock piles, in landscaping material, in cement walls, in rotten wood doors, laying on the ground, in a gate hinge, blocking the entrance of a bird house and in cracks of a high cliffs. Some are micro micro size, several smaller than a film can and just about every kind of film can. Breath mint boxes, match cases, key boxes, etc. Every time I think I can not possible find a different way to do a micro cache I find there is another way. Well it is time to go look for another one.
  2. I guess I just hate micro caches. We have one hidden in our area - No trees the GPS can read a dozen fixes, the hint says it is 15 ft from the "7" there is a big "7" on a large sign, the info says you do not need to climb on the sign to find it. You get the long/lat by verifying a telephone number. The cache is a small vial at least that is what the description says. Several people that recorded a Find claim they found it laying on the ground, I doubt that since when it rains about 2 inches of water drain under the sign area. A lot of people look who do not record a DNF, some do.. I guess I am one who thinks the GPS location should be correct if you are out in a open field. Yes I hate micros.
  3. How do you determine the coordinates of a new location when you know the Lat and Long of a cache and looking for a new location that is X feet and some angle Q degrees from the known point ? Is there a computer program one can use.
  4. See lot of toy cars and soldiers in the caches but would be a good item to stock in a new cache that a girl would like ? Any good sources for small stuff animals ? Stan-AK0B
  5. I like the vest idea. Cheap camera are easy to obtain on the web. Stan-AK0B
